Which cruise lines have loyalty match programs that correlate with status on Celebrity? I know Royal and SIlversea match (with a few restrictions of benefits). MSC also matches. Ponant matches but I believe it is only for the first cruise booked. Does Virgin still match? Are there others?

Venturing BEYOND the Haven - First Celebrity Retreat Cruise
OceanCruise replied to Lupush's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I am not sure if there is an age requirement but you and your son may enjoy a galley tour or one of the cooking classes like pizza making (for an extra charge). There are usually some movies shown in the theater and many free trivia sessions you can do as a family. He would probably enjoy some of the evening entertainment which often includes a magician, juggler and/or aerialists. -
Months ago we booked a guarantee sky suite for this December. Although my website account does not show a room assignment, a specific room has been indicated on the Celebrity app shortly after I booked. Don't know if that room could change though

Thank you for the info

First timer on Ponant (Le Bougainville) and trying to minimize packing. We will get free laundry due to loyalty status match which I believe is 5 items per person at a time. Can we use this perk on multiple days? Can we get laundry done the day before debarkation? What is the turnaround time to get laundry back? Do they press items like khaki pants and dress shirts and put them on hangers? How are they with more delicate cold wash items such as ladies blouses and simple dresses that would normally be machine washed at home? Is there a retractible clothesline in the shower if I handwash any items?

At arrival at the terminal (Valletta), are there porters who will put tags with room numbers on the luggage for delivery to the stateroom? I was surprised that the luggage tags I just received in the mail were just two generic tags with the Ponant name. I am used to Celebrity and RCL where the tags have our name and room number already printed on them and we drop off the larger suitcases curbside. We are extending our trip before and after the cruise so, if necessary, are we allowed to have an extra checked bag?

Although we have had laundry done on Celebrity dozens of times with good results, on our last cruise all of the whites came back dark gray. After we complained, they redid the laundry and were able to get most items back to the original white color. However, several items remained ruined. We filled out a form on Celebrity for the loss but never received compensation for the ruined items.

We are booked in a Crown Loft Suite on Oasis and Sky Jr on the Star. Wondering if it is worth it to do some specialty restaurants for lunch as there are good pre-cruise sales in the planner. Are the Coastal Kitchen lunch menus the same every day or do they change? Does CK lunch menu have mostly sandwiches, salads and burgers for lunch or are there any stand-out items? Do specialties like Chops, Hooked and Giovanni's have better quality food than CK for lunch or should we just save our money?

1. There are some appetizers, small pastries, cookies and beverages in the embarkation waiting area. You will be able to eat lunch in Luminae that opens between 11;30 and noon. 2. You can drop off your bags as soon as you board. Suites are ready same time as the other rooms. 3. You make reservations through the Retreat Concierge. Have never had them pack/unpack. Plus they are very busy on embarkation day. but they will stock your fridge daily and bring snacks/room service upon request. 4. No escort except in upper suite 5. Butler will come to your room on embarkation day to introduce him/herself. Some butlers are better than others 6. Butler got them for us upon request but not a guarantee 7.There are some exclusive events in Retreat lounge you will be invited to such as officers event, silent disco. There is afternoon tea daily 8. All of those, we tend to call

Have a Sky Jr Suite booked for Fall 2026 on Star of the Seas. Was doing a mock booking today for Sept. 2026 and Star room categories now state VOOM internet is no longer a perk for Sky Jr Suites as of May 2026. When was this change announced? This exclusion was not indicated when I was looking at prices/room categories when I booked and hope we are grandfathered in. Am waiting to hear back from my travel agent.

CDC “May” Stop Inspecting Cruise Ships
OceanCruise replied to Cruising89143's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
This is a very poor article with innuendos and no official sources. Who are the "multiple sources" -- disgruntled persons or bloated management who are laid off? Is the inspection role being transferred to another agency? Sounds like fear mongering to me with little facts. -
From the Four Seasons Yacht website FAQs: "How much should guests expect to spend on food and beverage per day? Daily spend on a la carte options, whether on a casual, poolside lunch, or a multi-course dinner experience, will vary and is dependent on individual guest preferences and selections. Guests can plan for approximately $250USD per person, per day to cover food and beverage, and any indulgences in between. Pricing is directional with dining and beverage spend combined" https://www.fourseasonsyachts.com/faq

The production shows are different on each ship. Sometimes the guest entertainers will rotate between ships depending on their contract.

We took 3 cruises in the Retreat this past year. I only saw one tux in Luminae and very few men wearing jeans at dinner most nights. There were some suits and many sports coats on chic nights. Women generally women wore "church" attire most nights but there were a number of cocktail dresses/tops on chic nights and a handful of long gowns.

Why No Itineraries to/from Florida and Northeast?
OceanCruise replied to OceanCruise's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Looks like Central and South American countries qualify as they are ports in Panama Canal itineraries from Florida to California. -
Why No Itineraries to/from Florida and Northeast?
OceanCruise replied to OceanCruise's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I am confused. There are New England cruises that go to Canada and stop at several US ports. -
Why don't cruise companies have regular one-way itineraries that go back and forth from Florida to NYC (with a stop in Bermuda, Canada or Caribbean to satisfy Jones act)? It could include popular cities such as Savannah or Charleston. I would think many people would prefer NY- FLA itineraries on a cruise ship rather than having to fly back and forth. They do alternating one-way routes with Hawaii--Seattle/Vancouver and Alaska--Seattle/Vancouver so I am curious why none from East coast.

Any suite benefits on Coco Cay and Labadee?
OceanCruise replied to OceanCruise's topic in Royal Caribbean International
A family member does not use a wheelchair but cannot walk long distances due to a health condition. How can I arrange for a tram so he does not have to walk the long pier, particularly in the hot sun? Do I do this with the concierge or is there a place/person to do this when we arrive at the pier? -
For passengers in suites (Sky class) are there separate suite areas/beaches on Coco Cay and Labadee and/or special food offerings or other benefits? How much does the Beach Club cost per person and does it ever go on sale? We prefer a quiet adult area and some shade but do not want to pay for a cabana. Is it a hassle/long walk to get to these areas or is it relatively easy with a tram available? We typically do not stay at beaches more than a couple of hours so are trying to decide whether we should get off the ship or just relax onboard.

Are there any $10 table games in the casino on Silversea? On our last several Celebrity cruises there were always a couple of $10 blackjack and roulette tables but nothing under $15 for craps or 3-card poker. Does Silversea have a blackjack tournament and, if so, what is the cost to enter? Is the casino smoke-free?

Dialysis at Sea is for people on hemodialysis that typically go to dialysis centers 3 times weekly. Due to the specialized medical personnel and equipment needed for the sailing, the ship/itinerary options for this program are limited and this program is not for patients using peritoneal dialysis. People on peritoneal dialysis perform their own care at home on a daily basis and have their own dialysis equipment. Thus, they have flexibility to travel on virtually any ship they choose with advance planning to arrange for their own supplies and contacting Special Needs department. Cruise lines typically do no allow those that do hemodialysis on their own at home (not a very common method) to do this on the ship.
-
I have experience with a family member from a few years ago. You will need to contact Celebrity Special Needs Department ahead of time to advise of peritoneal dialysis if that is the type she is doing. You arrange directly with the company supplying the solutions at home to ship the boxes of solutions to the ship. You will need the company to supply extra types of solution in the event that there is an extended power outage so there will be a lot of boxes. The company charges an extra fee for the delivery to ship. At the time, it was around a $150-200 fee. Make sure you get on the ship as early as possible to ensure the boxes are delivered to your room before you sail. In our experience, one time the boxes were lost for several hours but the medical supply company was able to tell who signed for the boxes on the ship and they were able to be tracked down. You will have to bring the machine with you along with all many other medical supplies as only the solutions will be delivered. My family member packed their machine (with lots of bubble wrap) in a regular hard sided suitcase and brought it onboard as a carry on. Your home dialysis center will supply collection bags for the fluid which can then be emptied in the toilet in the morning. In some situations, if the desk or nightstand are not suitable to place the machine on, you can ask for a rolling room service cart to keep in your room to put the machine on. Because of the extra room needed for all the boxes and room service cart, it is much better to have a suite for the extra amount of room. The ship will not provide a scale so you can use one in the gym if they even have one there. However, because of the motion of the ship scale may not be accurate. Happy to answer other questions.
