We have had a similar change on the Pearl. If we had not been to Venice before, we would be scrambling to have a pre-cruise in Venice. However, we have always had reservations about the tendering process to get us there, so we were not shocked at the change. Whether it is a net loss or gain is an individual decision. We are losing Venice and Koper and get Rijeka and Dubrovnik in exchange. What we are losing is Ljubljana, which we planned to do from Koper. We are thinking about going there from Trieste pre cruise.

Anyone been there. Just received word of an itinerary change and we will be going to Rijeka.

Did anyone catch that NCL was cancelling Venice on Dawn and Pearl and replacing it with Rijeka (Croatia).

POA does give you a lot of time in HI. You do not have to spend time at the airport to get from island to island. You also do not have to stay at expensive Hawaiian hotels. While the POA does not live up to what I expect from a cruise ship the food was fine and it worked for this trip.

Agree with the idea of finding someone to do the driving. We found a number of options for tour operators to pick us up at the pier.

We were happy with POA. It was like being in a hotel and doing a day trip every day. We did not have to worry about transportation from island to island or finding lodging an multiple islands.

Agree, Cruise lot is convenient and reasonably priced.

We stayed at the Hilton last summer. Beach was nice, but crowded. They also had a lagoon.

You might think about a river cruise. Danube or Rhine.

It was only 108 F the day we were there

Officially, you can put one teen with each parent. Especially, if you are across the hall divide up as you want.

We've done it DIY. The train station (different than the regular station) was less than a 10 euro taxi from the port. However, we did not do it in a half day. Reviews might be saying rushed because it is in a half day. Alternatively, you can get to Soller by bus.

I am in the camp of going straight to Barcelona. There will be sightseeing opportunities for as long as you are there,

CT is a fine idea. Although, last year we went to Florence the day after Rome and the kids (14 and 10) loved it. The boy (14) liked the history and architecture, while the girl (10) liked shopping in the stalls with leather products.

On Day 1 we did the Road to Hana. Good choice. On Day 2 we did the sunrise at volcano. It was also a good choice, although we left the ship at around 3 am. We were back on the boat by 10am. There still might be time to go to the beach.

Taxis at the airport are in better shape than Baltimore taxis and are fine.

We did it last summer with a private guide. I can't imagine driving it myself.

Is spending the day in Honfleur an option?

We were there last summer and took a taxi.
