I know, but it would have been nice for our last cruise.

The same reason I like the perks on my Delta Frequent Flyer card. Would like early boarding, laundry service.

I agree that Carnival should have some reciprocity across their brands. We went on Costa back in 2003 because the leaders of our group picked the cruise line. We went to Alaska on Princess because Carnival didn't go there. Even a credit of 50% would get us to Platinum - our next cruise will get us there but would be nice to have it now.

    SD Cards

We travel with an 11.6" laptop (2 lbs) and download every night. When we get home, I download to my desktop and back-up to an external HD. I also use Carbonite as an off-site back-up - backs-up every night automatically.

    SD Cards

Don't know if this has been covered before. I'm a retired professional photographer. SD cards can fail resulting in the loss of your pictures. There are programs that you can purchase that will help get most, but not all of your pics back. Just because your SD card can hold thousands of pics, don't do it. When I travel, I take at least one SD card per camera per day. The worst case scenario is that I'll lose some pics.

So..how did last week's Sunshine sailing go?

As a retired professional photographer, I'd like to offer some advice to all. Just because your SD card can hold thousands of pictures, don't do it. Cards can fail. I take at least one card per camera per day. If a card should go bad, well I've lost one day's pics. BTW, there are recovery programs but you'll probably not get them all back.

We're on that sailing too. On deck 8 but not near where the flooding was.

Thanks for the info on Club O. We will be there the first week of December. Always take a cruise that stops in ST. Martin to go to Club O for the day.

Will be on the Sunshine 12/1 on deck 8. ANy idea which rooms were flooded?

    New dessert buffet

As a diabetic, they do nothing for me. Would like to see a few more sugar-free deserts. We were on MSC a few years ago and they had a better selection of sugar-free deserts.

Forgot about Jacksonville. We've sailed out of Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. We've passed the port in Tampa - it's also three hours. I'meant to say we're gold and will go to the next level on this cruise.

    Have I made a mistake

If you can go at an off-peak time, you'll find the crowds smaller. We generally go right after Thanksgiving or the first week of December - fewer rug rats. We were disappointed when we were on MSC a few years ago - they had a deal where younger kids sailed free. Loads of rug rats.
