  1. The web site names of the companies doing parking at Lot C-1 are "PARKABM" and "PARKCHIRP". There also is a phone number-617-482-2487. If you're not successful, the parking garage is within a very short walking distance.
  2. In the blue header at the top of this page you will see"Write a Reviews-Boards-Log Out". Click on "Boards". Under Boards. click on Roll Calls.Find your roll call.If you can't find a roll call for your cruise, it is easy to start one.
  3. You might have a better chance of attracting interested persons if you posted this on your roll call. And if there is no roll call for your cruise, start one!
  4. Our last two cruises in April and October of 22 were in comped Club Balcony Suites ( mini-suites). We generally dropped the same amount and spent the same time in the casino as we always have. Our new top offers from CAS have downgraded from a mini-suite to an ocean view. It would cost us almost the going rate to upgrade to a mini-suite with CASs exorbitant upgrade fees. Almost like we should just pay for the cruise and stay out of the casino! Is anyone else receiving these reduced offers?
  5. No passport needed to travel to Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands. However, the Real ID act is supposed to be implemented in May of this year. If you don"t have a Real ID license, you would need a passport.
  6. It has been our experience that there is always at least one MDR open for lunch on every ship we have sailed on. All seem to be open from 12:00-2:00 PM on embarkation day.
  7. The package covers drinks up to $15.00. You've already paid the 20% gratuity when you purchased the package. If you order a drink that costs $18.00, you'll be charged $3.00 plus 20% gratuity, or an extra $3.60.
  8. For a long time, back a couple years ago, ( pre-covid) they had disallowed cruise parking. Cruised the last week of October/ first week of November and no problem parking. Unless it has changed again.
  9. There is Lot C1 right off of Black Falcon Ave. It is right in front of the ship if the ship docks bow-in, as most do. This is the closest parking to the ships. Needs to be booked online and sells out fast for every cruise. There is the Flynn Terminal parking garage. No reservations required. Also numerous other lots and parking garages generally within easy walking distance of the pier. My recommendation, if there are two or more of you, is to pull up to check-in area on Black Falcon Ave. and unload everything. Give your luggage to a porter, and one of you sits with your carry-ons, etc., while the other goes and parks the car. Sure beats lugging lots of stuff any distance. And do the same when you disembark. Happy sailing!!
  10. They don't have tables for one, three, five , or seven. If that is the number in your party, you book the next highest table size. If you are solo and have booked a table for two, just show up, tell them you're alone, and they will seat you. No questions asked. Happens all the time.
  11. We have found the nine to eleven day cruises seem to be just right. Not too short, not too long. Two weekers seem a tad too long, and a weeks cruise short by two or three days.
  12. Isn't that what was said about Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns, among others?
  13. If you're a casino player, your bank account will be (should be) larger after a five day than a 7!!
  14. Then why do you read the NCL boards? Just wondering.
  15. I took it to mean what time do you have to have your a** back on board, re "buns"!
  16. Yes, Do as Turtles06 recommends above and use the toll free number , 833-570-2594. i made the mistake of NOT using that number checking on our Bermuda Travel Authorizations for our cruise last April.. Was 18th in the "queue", and the call ended up costing me $75.00. Live and learn!!
  17. Unless one needs to make dining reservations, ( no show reservations on Jewel class ships) or has a hankering to meet up with one of their old friends, Jack Daniels, at a local watering hole, it makes no difference. They'll have all week to explore the ship!
  18. If you keep eating all your wife's food, the poor woman is going to starve to death!! (JK)
  19. Do you remember the profiteroles or the pineapple, strawberry, and melon chocolate fondue they offered back in the old days? ( About five or six years ago!!) They made LeBistro worth the trip, as the saying goes. They also used to offer a 32 ounce sirloin. Used to split it with my DW. Finest steak we have ever eaten.
  20. Personally, I think the cabin coffee is about the best on the ship. Far better than the burnt tasting Starbucks or the French Press in LeBistro that'll grow hair in places you didn't know you had places!!
  21. Wonder if Alain retired. He was ( maybe still is) the finest Hotel Director I have ever met on an NCL ship. Always remembered us from cruise to cruise on the Dawn, and was never too busy to stop and chat awhile. A true Gentleman!
  22. Some folks like to get on the ship early. Generally speaking, the earlier you do your online check-in, the earlier time you'll get to check-in at the pier.
  23. You indicate you are still outside of final payment. Final payment in US is 120 days before departure. Not sure of the European time frame. If so, just cancel the booking and rebook at the lower price, saving the service fee.
  24. You'll have at least one "Dress up or Not" night. Some folks " dress to the nines" on these nights, have dinner, and then have formal photos taken, sometimes including the Captain, if he/she is available.
