  1. There's a sailing on April 8th 2017 that goes to several ports in Japan that really interests me, but the timing will not work. Noticing that AQ and Suites already SOLD OUT fro this sailing, I suppose I should be keeping my eyes on celebrity site , or cruise critic boards daily to find out the opening date for booking. When I last sailed Celebrity, it was 4 years ago and they opened bookings in April/May.

    Has that pattern changed?

    Thnaks.

  2. What if one is insistent on not sharing a table and wants to eat between 7 and 8 (ideally 7:30)? What are the chances of getting extra reservations?

In our experience, those are prime times and you have to be there at the right time for others to cancel in order to get that booking ( unless you are in an expensive suite and has early booking privileges). We've always taken, when offered, the really late ones ( 8:45, 9) when we requested extra reservations.

  3. ESPECIALLY if you have Arthur as your waiter. :D He made the entire evening fun and enjoyable.......

Thank you for your reviews. We too had Arthur from the Ukraine just 2 weeks ago, and had such a good time that we came back the last night. ...

I wonder if this is same Arthur we had in Blu in 2009? We were so impressed with that Arthur that we said he could be promoted straight from assistant waiter to assistant maitre D', he's that good with customer service ( we certainly didn't know about his management skills)

Do you have pictures of Arthur?

  4. Nice to hear that Ken is now a Hotel Director. We've met Ken previously, and He was outstanding. We wish him all the best !

We met Ken in Oct 2010 on Equinox, when he was finishing his role as Guest Relations Manager and about to move on to Infinity to be Associate Hotel Director, to be groomed one day to be Hotel Director. Glad to hear that he has achieved that.:)

  5. I was on the January 2 sailing. The new beds were very comfortable but I wasn't happy with the way they were made up. I had to scrunch down in order to get the blanket up to my chin where I like it. They really tuck those sheets and blankets in at the bottom!

We had an ocean view on deck 3. It was lovely. I got to see more through my big porthole than our friend with the veranda cabin that had a huge overhang above it could see from his veranda door.

    The ship is really lovely.

Was your cabin a new add-on? From the deck plan, it looks deeper. Does it have a larger window than the older oceanviews?

    Thanks.
