  1. Passport Info - I completely forgot that we need all of that. Thanks for that reminder. Another question then, if the Platinums go ahead and book for, say, 11;00 - and then the others cannot, I guess the platinums can just wait and go a little later when the others have THEIR time? or is that a no-no?
  2. What time are you scheduled to depart?
  3. I do have all their booking numbers, etc. as I am the "unofficial" cruise director" of our group. I have them all listed on my site. But I wasn't sure how much info I need to enter for each one. Some of them are really good at jumping in and doing things (and some are not LOL), but I'm retired and I have a lot more time to do it so I have NO problem with doing it at midnight. I just want to be prepared.
  4. First of all, I'm aware that we can't check in as early as we used to. Our October cruise has a late September date. Previously, I've always cruised with my DH, and each room traveling with us was about the same situation. However this year, DH cannot go, so I have a dear friend going as my roommate. She lives a couple states away and one of the other rooms is in a similar situation. What all information do we need to do to check-in? Because we are all hoping to get the same or at least close check in times, since we are traveling together, we want to be as prepared as possible. Two rooms are platinum, two are not - so that makes it even more difficult, as our check in will be 2 days earlier. I'm sort of assuming I would need the info to set up the account for my roommate. and that info regarding how we are getting there (flying or not). Most of us are driving, two will be flying in. What else do I need? Any guidance you can give me would be much appreciated.
  5. We are booked on Oct 9 on the Freedom. It's out of Miami so at least I know that port seems to be opening up. I feel as you do, I want to allow myself to get excited (we booked this cruise long before COVID - back in Nov 2019). I just wish I knew one way or the other
  6. I was able to do this just a couple days ago, for my Oct 9 cruise on the Freedom. As keywest1 says, it is a copy paste. I copied it into word, edited it to add my booking number and then was able to proceed. I could see everything, including my OBC except of the course, the boarding pass. I'll get that around Sept 25th.
  7. We are trying to figure out how to do ours. We will all be leaving hotel at the same time (most of us are driving and we're going to use one of the parking garages near the Miami port, a couple are flying, but will likely TAXI over to the site as we can not all fit in the cars with luggage) but we also have some of us platinum and we will get to choose at the earlier time in Sept. and the others are not - so will have to wait two days. Since we will have to check out of the hotel relatively early, we are trying to sort it out.
  8. Back in February, I changed my reservation from my DH to a very good friend. Due to health issues (NOT covid) DH cannot make the trip to Miami or cruise. At that time, I was actually still able to go in and print our luggage tags, both of which said "Priority" as I am a platinum member. Now of course, they say Platinum. I guess I'll hang on to both and see what we should be using at the time we sail.
  9. Thanks for that info. When I had gone in last February to change a person (DH cannot go) they were not showing our 4 cabins as being "connected". She fixed it - but looking now at this, I can tell it is correct now.
  10. We have 4 cabins, two of which are platinum, one is FTTF, and the other is regular. The tricky part is we are all coming by the same vehicles to a parking lot and then being shuttled over to the port. I'm not sure what that does to the cabin that is NOT Platinum or FTTF. Where do THEY wait? If they were all open at the same time, they may have been able to get a decent time frame
  11. I did look at that forum, but went through several pages and it seemed about 75% of the info was about Lauderdale and very little about Miami. I will go back and look again, and go a few more pages in - maybe I will find more info. Thanks
  12. We are cruising out of Miami in October (hopefully) and trying to find a hotel for the pre-cruise night. Honestly, all of us are retired with not a lot of spare money on top of the cruise, so we don't want to spend a fortune on the hotel just to basically sleep one night. I would rather spend the money on the cruise and in the ports. But we also don't want it to be dirty or disgusting. Some of us are driving, some are flying in - but we have no problem with parking at one of the "port parking sites", so it doesn't have to have parking for the week. Previously, we stayed downtown across from the Bayside - but the prices have more than doubled since the last time we were there. Too much to basically sleep for a few hours. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  14. IntrepidFromDC - I have checked the Carnival Site numerous times - and it says NOT CANCELLED. However, I've seen so many different posts that stated that the first cruise back for each ship is "....." and Freedom was always showing the 17th of October. Of course, things have gotten better with Covid and vaccines - so hopefully that is no longer the case
  15. For quite a while - everything I read kept saying the Freedom's first cruise back would be Oct 17 (the day we get back) - but since they are now showing it as "bookable" - I'm feeling pretty hopeful
  16. My final payment is due one month from today. Now, the question is, - what are the chances that we will know if we'll be cruising in October by the final payment date? For a long time, we felt that was NO way we would be cruising in October. We are scheduled on the Freedom, out of Miami - on Oct 9. For months, it didn't even show up - and now is showing for the last two weeks as a cruise that can be booked. All 7 of us in our group have been vaccinated - so that's not a problem for any of us. But we would like to get reservations made for a hotel in Miami and a few of them are flying from Ohio and need plane reservations. So far, they have not booked their flights. It's just so hard not knowing, as I am a planner for sure. I guess a lot of us in that same situation these days.
  17. We received an email a couple days ago, saying that they will be allowing 8 day cruises - so that is a PLUS. Also, yesterday, when I checked for a "mock booking" for our cruise, it is the first time since December that it has even shown as one that could be booked. That might be a positive sign for us.
  18. We booked this about a year and a half ago - and still waiting of course to see if we are going to sail. The frustrating part is that while we wait to see if we are cancelled for October, the cruise prices go up and up for the following spring. I would hate to cancel it myself, only to find that a couple weeks later, it is cancelled by the cruise line and we would miss out on that OBC they've been giving out. That would help make up some of the extra we will have to spend on the spring cruise. What is your feeling on when we will know for sure?
  19. This listing shows the Freedom starting on Oct 15th. We are booked on the Freedom from the 9th to the 17th. Even with changing it by ONE less day, it still does not allow for a ship to leave on the 15th - unless they have changed the entire Oct/Nov/Dec schedule.
  20. Thanks folks. Finally found it. The new site confuses me some, after 16 years of cruising with Carnival, this website is NOT as friendly as the older ones.
  21. I've gone in as you suggested, but so far, I'm not seeing anything that says "to do" (which is basically what I remember doing on prior cruises). I know we can't complete our check-in yet, so maybe it doesn't show until we've done that. We used to be able to print tags any time, and then the other documents after it was paid in full or maybe it was after we did check in - but we could at least see the documents.
  22. Carnival has changed their web page so much, I can no longer find where I would go to print luggage tags (as well as the documents themselves once it gets closer). Can someone tell me how to find it now? Thanks
  23. still booked for Oct 9 2021, on the Freedom out of Miami. Hoping it happens, but if not, will move it to probably March 2022
  24. I'm not concerned about the limit, there is no way I drink that many any day. But the price that I'm offered that includes the drink package is SO much less than purchasing the normal cheers package - that I'm inclined to take it. (Of course, this is all dependent on whether or not we get to go our our already booked October cruise
  25. With the Cheers package, does it include coffee at the coffee bar?
