    Xplor park????

We did it about 4 years ago and really enjoyed it. Definitely for active people. The technology they have that takes your photo throughout the park is awesome. We have some amazing photos. The cave paddling and off-road cart were my favorites. I’m going to be transparent and say that while we were zip lining, there was one time that my partner’s “safety latch”- for lack of a better term- didn’t get locked into place. I noticed it about halfway down the particular line we were on, and kept my mouth shut because I didn’t want my partner to panic (and he was tethered to me anyway). I learned a valuable lesson- when zip lining don’t simply trust the people securing your harness to the zip line....check it yourself every time!! :-D Having said that, I’d go back in a heartbeat because that could happen at any adventure park IMHO. 2. Thank you for the insight on Marriott Harbor- we actually ended up booking it for our pre-cruise stay in September. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  3. Usually, we stay at the Pillars in Ft. Lauderdale, and we love it there. The only drawback: it's not beachfront. We are looking for a different hotel/ resort that is beachfront for our upcoming stay. We have narrowed down our search to three: 1) Lago Mar 2) Marriott Harbor Beach 3) Margaritaville (maybe) Would those of you that have stayed at or have experience with any of these three resorts please share your thoughts? About us: couple, early-30s; no children Our top priorities for a hotel/ resort are: - Nice clean beach - Beach service (cocktail and/ or food service on the beach) - Clean, comfortable rooms - Good options for dining on premises or nearby Thanks for your advice!
  4. Yeah. I checked that off the list. Why does Sept still feel so far away though? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  5. Yeah- us too! Keeping an eye on it. I guess we need to start researching excursions for all of our stops. Looking forward to Labadee. Had a great beach day there on Barefoot last time. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  6. We haven’t booked any yet. If we had the time in San Juan, I’d go back to El Yunque for sure. Since we don’t have much time, we will probably stay in Old San Juan. We haven’t even started to think about the other ports yet. I’m excited about Roatan and St Maarten, since we have never been before- can’t remember which of the two are on the Sept 16th sailing. 7. San Juan is one of our favorite places. We haven’t been since the hurricane but I wish we could have a longer day there. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  8. Never been on Oasis before, but this is our 2nd time on Allure. We had a great time when we were 1st on. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  9. Nice- have you been on Allure before? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  10. We enjoyed and felt very safe in Grand Cayman. But- just as others hinted at- I have a very strong opinion about Jamaica. Both times we have been (and actually gotten off of the boat), we took one of the tours offered by our cruise line. One went to Dunn’s River Falls and the other to a river tubing spot. The people operating the tours were friendly. Beyond that, all of our other encounters were not pleasant. I don’t think it had anything to do with us being a same sex couple, though- I saw other couples (m/f) being treated the exact same way. Everyone is very aggressive when it comes to making a sale or collecting gratuity- more so than any other Caribbean island I’ve been to. And they don’t mind pushing your boundaries by grabbing your arms/ hands and forcibly not letting go to try and make a point. I had a really unnerving experience in the market area exiting Dunn’s River Falls. We do not get off of the boat in Jamaica now. If you do decide to get off of the boat, please do take a tour by the cruise line. I think that is the safest option. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
