What time are the shops open? We will be in port only from 5:00-9:00 PM and wonder if we can get off the ship to browse there in the evening hours.

I have seen that the parking at lot C1 is $20/day if you show them a cruise ticket.
I have looked on line and for a 11 night cruise leaving. Sept 30 the price is $346.50
https://promo.parking.com/boston-cruise-parking/
I don’t want to pay that amount and hopefully I can just pull up to the port and park for a more reasonable rate. Hopefully it isn’t totally filled up.
Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
This looks like it is the Fargo lot for $346.50, not lot C1. We prefer a lot where we can walk, not have to take a shuttle.
Does anyone know of other options? Safe places to park in the suburbs? At a hotel? Looking for options.

I know a lot of people go to and enjoy Willem's, but it appears that there are other Dutch Pancake places somewhat near the pier. Has anyone gone to a different place and enjoyed the food? Did you find (that place) less expensive or less crowded?
Is Willem's crowded on Sundays?

That’s what we just did. We booked Eagle Aruba resort and casino.
Reviews looked good. Wondering why it hasn’t been mentioned yet by experienced cruisers to Aruba? This is our second time in Aruba , first time using a day pass.
What time did you get to the beach? Were there chairs available? If we want a pool day we can do that on the ship!

Got it-- no one can say for sure (you could be delayed, the folks at Immigration could be taking their time or being extra vigilant, etc but I would say usually an hour or so after your official docking time you would be able to self disembark. The terminal (it's hard calling it that, it's more like a big industrial shed) at Boston is very small by cruise standards. You're off the ship and curbside within a minute.
Thank you for the info!

No need to prebook. Plenty of Ubers around there at all times of day.
Yes, Boston's cruise terminal isn't nearly as well laid out as most. It's a converted commercial pier.
This will entirely depend on the type of accomodation booked and your status with Celebrity. You'll know ahead of time with your disembarkation tags or you can ask them now.
Thank you, but no tags involved if we self-carry our luggage. I am looking for the time that disbembarkation generally starts when the ship arrival is listed as 7 AM.

How difficult is it to get Uber from the Boston port to Newton, MA? Is it best to pre-book?
What about pre-booked private transfers? Is the pick-up in the same area as for the Ubers?
We are sailing on Celebrity Eclipse. What time can we likely disembark with luggage?

Last October (2023) before boarding Voyager, my wife and I stayed at the Comfort Inn Boston (900 Morrissey Blvd). Left our car there for the duration of the cruise. $10/night.
Took the hotel shuttle to the port, I think there was a fee for that too. I believe they also did pickups post-cruise if you call them, but we uber'd because it was quicker.
Do they have a secured area for parking your car while travelling? Is the area safe where the hotel is located?

What is the most convenient parking lot at the Boston port? Which hotels are easiest to use to drive to the port? We would prefer to not have to use a shuttle to / from the port.
-
Are there nearby hotels to the cruise parking? What is recommended? We hate to drive during rush hour!

We are driving to Boston from PA. We would prefer a hotel about 30 minutes away from the port. Are there any suggestions for hotels south / southwest that have the park and stay feature? Would it be best to park near the airport?

Can anyone recommend a great deli in Newark? Also looking for recommendations for a pizzeria. Eat in and delivery options.

Besides offering shuttle service from the airport these hotels also are adjacent to The Mills at Jersey Gardens outlet mall, which is a place to stretch your legs and shop if you want. In addition there are a couple of chain restaurants, Applebee's, IHOP and Chili's, which provide adequate food choices at fairly reasonable prices . There are also fast food outlets in the mall.
Can you walk to The Mills at Jersey Gardens from any of the hotels?

Does anyone have current email address for the Celebrity CEO?

In addition to the NJ Transit and Amtrak service mentioned by @princeton123211, there is express bus service https://www.coachusa.com/airport-transportation/newark-airport .
If you take a train, I don't recommend using Amtrak. It will be far more expensive than NJ Transit.
But, I'm not sure why you would want to travel to Manhattan from EWR if you're staying in either Newark or Jersey City.
We are meeting friends in Manhattan for the day. Flying into EWR for the port.
-
Thanks for this information GTJ and njhorseman. Is there transportation to midtown from the EWR airport?
We have sailed from Bayonne before but have always driven in the past and stayed at a hotel further away and taken a bus into Manhattan but I don't recall the name of it. There were a few stops in Midtown. We were able to walk to the bus from the hotel in Secaucus. I know this is further from the port so we did not think it would be a good option since we are flying into EWR this time.
-
Are the Newark and Jersey City hotels in a safe area?
We will only arrive at EWR 1 day prior to our cruise departure at Bayonne. Ideally we would like a hotel that has airport transportation from EWR and that is located in a safe area. Also we want easy transit to Midtown Manhattan to meet someone for dinner and get back to the hotel later in the evening, maybe 8-9 PM. And then get to Bayonne the next day for the cruise departure. The cruise leaves on a Wednesday, if that matters.

You can go to the I-Health website and for a $20 fee, you can have the "government tests" proctored and receive an official test report that should be valid for travel.
Do you mean the free government tests that were mailed to us?

I am arriving in Vancouver by ship and want to fly out of Seattle the same day. What are my quickest and most reliable travel options from the cruise port in Vancouver to SEA?

I have not seen mention of this one before. Which do you recommend of the 3?
You are correct we will be docking in Lahaina.

We are interested in this luau. How would it compare to the one offered as a shore excursion, DRUMS OF THE PACIFIC LUAU?
New prohibited item for cruises?
