Just a heads up for one more thing. We traveled to western South Africa in 2019 and both of us got African tick bite fever. Curable, but not fun!

We were in a Club Continent suite last January on the Quest. Lovely suite, but we were jolly aware of furniture being moved about on the pool deck-- very loud scraping noises, mostly in the morning. I'm sorry I can't remember the exact cabin number, but it was midship.

Please don't chide the original poster. I am an optimistic traveler, but this cruise has been a notch above miserable. I'm not saying HAL is to blame for everything, but the stars have definitely been misaligned on this cruise.

DH and I are also on this cruise. Very disappointed that two of the 6 ports have been cancelled so far, but we understand these things happen. I will say we haven't enjoyed the food, which we were looking forward to since all of the press for HAL seems to be that the food is excellent. Maybe we just haven't made the right choices. The meat, in particular has not been very good. We are glad we have given HAL a try, but will definitely be going back to smaller ships (Azamara and river cruising).
