Booking Europe far in advance - Deposits

I don't know about other European countries but I've talked with many people from England. (personally and through these boards)The way I understand it the deposit is much less but is nonrefundable.

Booking Europe far in advance - Deposits

In the USA and as far as I know Canadian bookings ~ For a 12 night cruise the deposit is $450 per person. So for two cabins it would be $1800. The cruise price will be the same no matter who you book with. But many travel agents give perks such as shipboard credit, dinner in one of the specialty dining rooms, etc. You can book with RCCL and transfer your booking to a travel agent at a later date. Unless things have changed you can be put on a waitlist but for a specific cabin not just any one of the aft cabins. If this has changed I'm sure someone will correct me.;) I checked all three cruises in June 2011 and all D1 aft cabins are available on Deck 6. Hope this helps.

Got an $884 price drop today! Questions...

See if they will credit the reduction to your credit card. It can make a difference when purchasing cruise insurance as it usually priced by the dollar amount you are paying. Example $750 or less could be one price... $751-$1000 would be a higher cost. Congrats on the price drop! keeponrockn, it doesn't matter who you've booked through as this is a "dummy" booking. You're not actually going to complete it.
6. Pack anything you may need that morning/afternoon in your carryon baggage because it may be (and probably will be) hours before your luggage is in your cabin. I always take bathing suits, makeup, shaving supplies, brush etc.. You get the idea. Take a clear over the door shoe holder that opens at the top as a space saver. It's one of the best ideas I found on CC! We put everything in it but shoes! suntan lotion, brushes, etc... anything that fits! And it's all visible but not strewn around everywhere. You will want to take pictures so have your camera with you and you won't be running back to your cabin to get it!.... put your name, address and cabin number on it. Take a power strip - The Oasis plug in the cabin is under the desk area and very inconvenient. No Royal ship has laundry facilities but you can do small items like underwear in the sink. There is a retractable clothesline in the shower but you need to bring clips. First formal night is the second night of the cruise. If you need an item pressed give it to your stateroom attendant the first afternoon so you will be sure to have it back in time. Pressing an item is reasonable but same day service is 1 and 1/2 times the regular cost. I did a search and all of the threads below have great ideas. They are in no order of importance and some of the things are repetitive but they're easy reading and all offer something! By the way, you got a GREAT deal! The price on RCCL's website for the cabin alone is $700 more than you are paying! Enjoy your cruise and Happy 40th Birthday to your wife! Wow! What a price increase...

Doug, I saved the initial pricing list too but I mistakenly deleted it. I didn't realize this until it was way, way too late to retrieve it. Would you please email me a copy of your list? I would appreciate it so much. My email is in my signature. Thanks so much!

Labadee Cabanas,Barefoot Beach For Suite Guests Only

Thank you both for your quick replies! One thing I didn't think to ask...about how many cabanas would you estimate there are?
11. Can anyone who has recently returned from Labadee confirm that the cabanas at Barefoot Beach and just the use of Barefoot Beach itself are now restricted to Suite Guests only? What is the cost of the cabanas? Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays! :)

Well, we are finally booked

bencruzN Congrats on booking the Oasis! We have a great roll call going for the sailing on October 16! I have included the link to the last page below. We would love to have you join us! http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=830743&page=131
14. Don't wait until you board to book your excursions if there are some you particularly want. You may and probably will spend considerable time standing in long lines and then your excursions may be full. You can't count on being able to book by the TV either. That function does not always work.
