  1. We would agree that on Intensive Scotland and Intensive Ireland officers were not visible. On reflection maybe because we were sailing each evening/night and docking early morning. Also the captain had his daughters aboard and must have spent leisure time with them. The staff seemed as on last 15 cruises, happy with their roles. We booked further trips so were happy with our b2b.
  2. As we had premium in our booking upgrading to ultimate was cheaper than buying perrier or San pelligreno byvtye bottle!
  3. We drank pinot grigio on Journey for more than 3 weeks and was excellent. We left the ship on Friday. There was a Marlborough which was also great. We don't drink red so can't comment on that.
  4. A staff member is now employed to arrange more Chef's Tables on every cruise. Significantly more opportunities on Intensive Scotland and Intensive Ireland cruises on Journey than previously found. Also a Rice Table. A large number of passengers were b2b so may have booked for Chef's Table before new passengers boarded

    Intensive Ireland

We realise that this is why lines sell tours but their staff also want to go on shore and somewhere like Foynes does not meet their needs. They need to be able to relax and spend some time on shore
  6. We got off journey yesterday after b2b. No problems. A shuttle in Greenock to the station for Glasgow would have been great. Food was better than pre covid. Service great. Staff wonderful. Only concern is that cases of covid on board were observed but no official reports. Within hours of getting home my husband was confirmed with it. He had no symptoms until we reached home. A reminder of the disease still being around may have prevented the spread. We were extremely careful on board and used every hand sanitiser on board.

    Intensive Ireland

Of the ports we visited only Foynes was a disappointment. For those who didn't do an excursion there was virtually nothing to do in the village. A museum dedicated to flying boars with a cafe, a pub and a small supermarket selling everything! 2 days in Cork would have been better as lots to see and do. There was a shuttle bus from tender to the museum but we weren't told and like many only found it by chance when returning to the ship. The local people were very friendly but people need more activity than Foynes can provide.
  8. We have had the ultimate package for the Intensive Scotland and Intensive Ireland cruises. The wine we like has been at every bar and dining area and flowed firctge last 21 days along with the Perrier water. I agree that the windows in Prime C and Aqualina are a disgrace. As well as dirty the tinted film is peeling off. Staff are excellent as always. Some minor hiccups as today in Foynes the Insider didn't inform us that there was a shuttle so for most of the day the driver had nothing to do. The captain hasn't been visible and since our favourite Kiwi Hitel Director left Tomaz hasn't been around often. Problems having to dock at Rosyth rather than Leith affected many. The maps at Greenock not clearly showing how to find the station which was a hike away was our main gripe.
  9. The restaurant is good in the Guggenheim on the 2 or 3 visits we have made
  10. Journey docked at the new harbour south of the city. It is a building site. We had shuttles to Union St which appears to be a disappointing shopping/eating area. We bought day passes for the bus and saw a lot of the city. Loved wandering around the Old Town and taking the 13 bus around the beach. We enjoyed our day but many other guests were sadly less impressed.
  11. Currently about 560 on Journey
  12. Journey 10 days ago we had to attend muster stations at 5 pm yo carry out the drill

    Journey circling

As you can't leave Rosyth on foot we took a taxi on Sunday and went to Dunfermline. Lovely town. Plenty to see. Good restaurants and shops. Much quicker journey than taking shuttle to Inverkeithing station and fitting in with train times. Sorry for people who.had Edinburgh on their bucket list. When new moorings completed at Leith it SHOULD become easier.
  14. We used public transport from where the shuttle dropped us to get to the old town. Had a lovely walk back to city. Then caught the 13 bus which showed us the beach area and into Footdee. Bought a day pass so could easily get about. We were disappointed in Union St as few shops or places to eat. On Journey now
  15. Certainly did when we were on board
  16. Currently on Journey and been a chefs table every evening. New member of staff in charge of uncreai g the number of events

    Journey circling

As we needed a taxi or bus to get individuals without shore excursions out of the port only people going to the Tattoo left last night at about 5 30 so don't know if they made the 6 15 performance. We are hoping to get a cab to Dunfermline later but for most passengers Edinburgh was on the bucket list. Some very frustrated passengers. One shuttle bus today to the station.

    Journey circling

Thats the problem....buses. Some people went to 1st and 2nd tattoo performance as a priority. Many people had Britannia and other trips with timed entry which they missed. One shuttle tomorrow to Inverkeithing station from 8am to 7 30 pm. Many upset passengers. Immigration was due to start at 6 45 am so everyone up and about before annoucement made. Some taxis to be made available. Too windy to enter lock but 4 30 pm before we berthed in Rosyth. A long day for passengers and crew
  19. Today on Journey it is on the pool deck. Busy and Chefs Tables have a wait list. Additional chef's tables planned
  20. We have received numerous emails to both our addresses about excursions, events, upgrades etc on our b2b starting on Thursday. When we try to open the detail the pages have been removed. So absolutely useless! We are on a travels to Amsterdam.
  21. I am expecting to have 2 good cruises. Having read so much negativity recently I was hoping to see some positive comments for future cruisers. We Love Azanara having done 15 + cruises so far.
  22. With so many adverse comments here and elsewhere how do you feel.if you are about to board . We board in a week in Amsterdam as the first of a b2b. We are Discoverer Plus and we were looking forward to our first cruise since covid. Now feeling apprehensive about the product due to the comments, reviews and apparent changes on board.
  23. As predicted Azamara contacted my TA wanting payment for excursions. Hopefully the TA has now been able to persuade them to use OBC. Fingers crossed

    New website.

Our cruise round Scotland this month has the title of 16 days Norway intensive when I log in. The itinerary shows Scotland trip but nothing else is accurate. Just hoping our b2b goes better than any attempt to pre book excursions and packages.. Chaos reigns currently and after more than 15 Azanara cruises these may be the last.
  25. Any update on officers aboard? Don't Azamara admin look at these posts. No one is going to cancel at this point but we would appreciate knowing as long time cruisers who is on board
