  1. I got the email and mine still shows June on My NCL as well. I’m guessing it will take a few days or weeks for them to make the date change on the backend.
  2. Make sure to check pricing with and without the promo. I did a mock booking and the same category was $600 more with the "Free Drinks".
  3. Looks like the next round of cancellations are on the way.
  4. Exactly! All the airlines are being very understanding and flexible in these unprecedented times. That’s crummy of NCL not to automatically extend CNDs that are expiring soon. All hope is not lost though. OP should contact the CruiseNext department and plead their case. I think I’ve read of others getting a 1 time extension.
  5. Except that the local hospitals probably wouldn’t have hundreds of patients at once even if there was a large outbreak. Most who contract the virus don’t have serious symptoms that require a hospital visit, so the majority could easily be quarantined at a hotel.
  6. Thanks, seeing it for my Amex EveryDay Card although I probably won't take advantage since I already have a ton of future cruise credits.
  7. By the way, that news release is from 2009. The Arison’s aren’t selling any shares. 😂
  8. Yeah according to the report: "Cumulative CDC data from the period of March 1 to July 10, 2020 reveal a total of 2,973 COVID-19 or COVID-like illness cases on cruise ships, in addition to 34 deaths. These data have also revealed a total of 99 outbreaks on 123 different cruise ships, meaning that 80% of ships within U.S. jurisdiction were affected by COVID-19 during this time frame. In addition, 9 ships still have ongoing or resolving COVID-19 outbreaks on board." So 2,973 cases / 123 ships = 24 cases on average per ship? That doesn't sound all that bad to me.
  9. I don't think Carnival will want to spend any more than they need to on capital expenditures over the next few years, so doubt they would refurbish any smaller ships from their sister lines to the Carnival brand. The Fantasy class has more ships than any other class so I'm sure they will keep at least a few around for the smaller markets and booze cruises.
  10. 🙄 Official Press Release: https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/news/2020-press-releases/news-07152020-ShipNewsJuly20.html
  11. That's not specific to NCL, as nearly every company out there has suspended guidance for 2020, but yes, time will tell!
  12. Yes of course Norwegian like any other financially responsible company would make those cuts, they currently have ZERO revenue coming in and not by choice! They are shut down from operating until the CDC lifts their no sail order. Those cuts have nothing to do with future bookings and everything to do with the current circumstances. Personally I believe people will want to get out and travel after being cooped up in their homes for so long, so when FDR says that future bookings are only down slightly that seems believable, and even Royal Caribbean came out today and made the same statement.
  13. Actually if you watched the interview you’d know that 50% have chosen to take a future cruise credit and that bookings/pricing is only down mid single digits from a year ago. The disclosure was just a formality presented as a worse case scenario to investors. Don’t read too much into it now that they’ve raised billions of dollars overnight.
  14. Probably not, FDR is a good salesman, but Cramer has been bashing the cruise industry as a whole for the past couple months so it will be interesting to see if he changes his tone after this interview.
  15. Looks like Frank is coming out of his cave and finally starting to engage with the media. He will be appearing on Jim Cramer's Mad Money today on CNBC at 6pm Eastern. Will be interesting to hear what he has to say about the future. He has already spoken to various other news outlets this morning telling them that Norwegian now has $3.5 billion in cash on hand which is enough to bankroll the company for "at least 18 months" without any new revenue. The stock is up over 8%.
  16. 2.2B to add to the bank. Some excerpts: * The debt-and-equity fundraising was eventually raised to $1.8bn on the back of strong investor demand, according to people familiar with the deal. * The company raised $400m of fresh equity, up from an initial plan of $350m, as well as over $1.4bn through two bond offerings. A $675m secured bond deal gives investors two of the company’s ships and two islands as part of the collateral, according to a filing. * The company still had to pay up for the fresh cash, despite the assets backing the deal, with a coupon of 12.25 per cent on the fo
  17. They ended up raising all that they asked for and more, albeit at a very high interest rate and dilutive to the stock. Will give them plenty of cash to stay in operation for at least a year though. Hopefully we can get the economy opened back up by then, if not we’ve got bigger problems on our hands! 18. One could say the same about every other ship in the fleet, so why haven’t they pulled the bookings for any of those if it’s a capacity thing? My money is on the ship being delayed until early 2021.
  19. Seeing the same problem here on my Mac and iPad. It temporarily goes away after clearing my cache but then comes back after a while. I'm a Software Engineer at Apple and this definitely isn't a local virus but as someone else mentioned probably a bad ad from their ad network. Hope the admins take this seriously and get it fixed soon, it's getting pretty annoying. While you're at it it'd be great if you could fix that other bug that constantly requires me to login again. Its been around since you "upgraded" your forum software.
  20. I got 1 of the 2 CruiseNext Deposits that I applied to my cancelled April cruise this week. Strange that NCL is only refunding one at a time.
  21. The $5 Duc de Valmer sparking wine is definitely not a perk. I would not wish that stuff on my worst enemy, hahaha.
  22. Making some progress. I just logged into My NCL to find 1 of 2 of my CruiseNext deposits back on my account. Strange that both weren't credited back at the same time considering I used both together on my cancelled booking, but I'll take the one for now, lol!
  23. Similar issues as on my end too: -- Prepaid internet upgrade was supposed to be refunded to my credit card, but shows up on My NCL as a CruiseNext Deposit --- Two CruiseNext Deposits that were applied to my cancelled booking are missing Perhaps they should invest some money into their IT infrastructure after they get past all of this. 😄
