  1. On our last cruise, I said the coffee was too strong, and the next night he made it half strength for me, I didn’t ast for it, but it was an amazing gesture
  2. We were supposed to be on that too. I was looking so forward to both Christmas and New Years on he ship. We’ve done Christmas, but never New Years.I still haven’t gotten an email about it.
  3. I lost my 12/23 radiance of the seas, but haven’t gotten an email yet. I wonder how long it will take to get it, and what they will offer if anything. I’m not really that surprised and we were thinking of cancelling anyway.
  4. We love cruising over the holidays. This year we are doing a 9 night over Christmas and New Years. Can’t wait
  5. What? Do you even have kids? My son is slightly picky because he doesn’t like beef/steak and does just fine. Loves salads, chicken and pasta and found plenty to eat.
  6. Amen to that. When we started cruising our kids were 10 and 6, it was fine. Our last cruise kids were 15 and 11 and the 11 year old is the same size as a small adult. So tight. We are doing two cabins the next cruise. Plus we have one boy and one girl and they need privacy, so we will sleep boy/girl.
  7. There is a normal kids menu, plus they can order off of the regular menu. My now 16 year old is picky about certain things, and always found something to eat or try, a cruise is a good place to try things, he had a salad every night. A balcony is fine for 4 people depending on the ages of the kids. When they were younger it was fine, but as they got older, it gets harder. On our next cruise kids will be 17 and 13 and we are doing two cabins, boy/girl. One inside and one veranda.
  8. If the cruise line cancels, then the travel agents commission is protected.
  9. Our kids were older, they were 10 and 6. We waited until they were both old enough to use the kids club and stay up later. We did other vacations instead. We didn’t want to be stuck in a small cabin at bedtime not being able to go out and do things together. At those ages my kids were not really flexible on bedtimes. Personally I’d wait, but it’s personal decision
  10. Well I hate the windjammer, and we eat in the mdr whenever possible. I’d bet that it will be there, but won’t be self service.
  11. My 11 year old daughter wore mostly jump suits and dresses on our last cruise. We were on royal and had two formal nights and the rest smart casual. We were also on over Christmas, so it was a little dressier. What cruise line?
  12. If I were supposed to be cruising in the next 4-5 weeks, I’d be cancelling.
  13. No, I don’t mind. I’m one of those people that doesn’t like to linger over the meal. I like eating, enjoying, and then getting out and enjoying the rest of the night,
  14. Just wanted to see how royal handled food allergies, especially dairy. Will they make something special for me?
  15. You could go on a ship that you like and do a spa package or a dining package.
  16. I don’t really consider any of the Royal shops fancy. Are there certain things she is looking for?
  17. We’ve done 4 in a cabin for a many a cruises. Next year the kids will be 16 and 12 and we are done. We are going to do a balcony and an inside next cruise, extra space and a second bathroom. Plus the kids are boy/girl and we need private space.
  18. There is a difference between seeing children on a ship and a toddler acting up in a restaurant and no one taking them out.
  19. Best thing we did on our last cruise was luggage valet.
  20. Just wanted to see if anyone know if there are 2020 champagne glasses for sale on January cruise, and if so how do I get them if I’m not going on a cruise?
  21. Lots of extended families with kids, but it’s amazing. Very festive and lots of Christmas activities. We’ve done one three years in a row. This next year we are doing a New Year’s Eve cruise and can’t wait.
  22. we’ve done a Christmas cruise the last three years, including this year. Next year will be New Years as the way the holidays fall and my kids school schedule. They are off from 12/23-1/3, returning 1/4. We are looking at the freedom 12/27. I suspect that this year it will be full of kids.
  23. We are in one too and it’s been amazing as always. Yes the ship is full of families and lots of large ones, but that’s the fun part. We were in st Martin yesterday and most of the French side was closed. Other then that there have been a lot of Christmas themed activities. Love our Christmas cruises.
  24. Currently on adventure of the seas waiting to leave. Super windy here. It’s going to be a wild ride tonight.
