  1. I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find it. Can I use a Royal FCC on one of their other brands or is it just for Royal's ships?
  2. Welcome Stew. I wish I had some info for you. I'm on the August 9 cruise out of NJ. I keep looking at my reservation but haven't seen anything. We had 5 cabins booked and 3 of our group canceled before their final payment was due. My brother and I paid up. While Cruise Critic is a rumor mill, it's still a great resource. There's nothing to do but wait now.
  3. I usually wear a jacket and tie on formal nights, leave the tie in the cabin for semi and wear just a golf shirt and Dockers for casual. My wife and I always go carry-on only when we travel. I only bring one jacket, 2 ties and a couple pairs of pants for a 7-day. We're in shorts and t-shirts the rest of the time.
  4. On top of everything, we sail from NJ. If our governor has anything to say about it, it won’t happen. I guess there’s always next year.
  5. Thanks. Guess I’ve been afraid to look at their website. Still trying to think we might sail.
  6. Just saw this on RCI's website: Royal Caribbean Announces Global Suspension Of Cruising At Royal Caribbean International, our guests and crew's safety and well-being are always our top priorities. After further consulting with our partners at Cruise Lines International Association and in conjunction with the CDC, we have decided to extend the suspension of sailings for our global fleet for all sailings through July 31st, 2020. Our goal is to resume operations on August 1st, 2020. (China sailings will be suspended through June 30th, 2020).
  7. I thought sailings were suspended through July 31. I have an August 9 trip to Coco. Not too confident we'll be going.
  8. Trey420 nailed it. It shouldn’t matter to you what I think. It’s just an opinion. Apparently, I’m the only one who feels this way anyway. Look...I’m a golfer. Most golf courses have a dress code too. No to t-shirts, jeans, cut-offs, etc. I dress appropriately on the golf course too. The person in a t-shirt is probably really nice and certainly a much better golfer but, much like on formal night, I feel the look cheapens my experience. Judging from the comments here, I’m a frumpy, hopeless, rule-obeying nerd so you definitely shouldn’t care what I think. 😀
  9. If he’s in his underwear, they probably put him at a two top. 😂
  10. It’s really amazing how a simple request can improve your cruise experience.
  11. I think that’s very smart of the Maitre d’!
  12. It’s very disappointing the way some people dress on formal nights. When you’re sitting at a group table, you should show a little respect for others. While I don’t wear my tux anymore, I wear at least a jacket and tie on formal nights. We request not to be seated at a table with anyone wearing shorts or a t-shirt. They always accommodate us.
  13. I've found that most people who attend the Chef's Table are pretty classy. It's always a great time.
