  1. We are from Auckland NZ and had friends go on the Millennium early 2000s and they couldnt speak more highly of their experience. Fast forward 10 or so years, we decided to go on our first cruise and consulted our TA about cruiseline options - celebrity was our pick - loved the brand and Solstice class ships are just beautiful in our opinion - so an 11 night cruise up the sunshine coast of Australia got us hooked! We've been on Solstice 4 times and our next is Silhouette Trans Atlantic in Oct.
  2. miched - just hilarious - love your humour! thanks for the laugh.
  3. Hi Sciatica..... and a very big hello to Bengaltiger1 Sciatica, we were on the same cruise as Bengaltiger and agree with everything she said. We also did the Blue Mountains and Pearl Harbour and tour around Hawaii with Bengaltiger. The whole trip including the fantastic cruise would be one of our best vacations we've had to date. From our perspective, living in NZ, the outdoor weather at sea from Sydney to NZ wasn't the best and we did need a warm jacket for outdoor sail away in Sydney and Auckland - it can get windy out in the harbours. We didn't plan for that and therefore did not take a warm jacket with us when we embarked in Sydney. We took the opportunity when docked in Auckland to take a ferry home and pick one up (but we did not use it again after the Auckland sail-away). Once we started heading north towards the equator each day became warmer and warmer. Enjoy you wonderful cruise - we'll be watching you sail past with Rangitoto Island in the background from our local beach, wishing we were doing the whole cruise again.
