  1. I wouldn’t feel reassured about them accepting a piece of paper confirming you’ve been vaccinated when you can buy fake ones on the darknet for as little as $150! Surely some form of digital QR code confirmation is better and less open to abuse!

  3. Anyone heard when the Constellation is being done? It was due to be in dry dock in April 2020 for refurbishment.
  4. We have booked a similar itinerary on Azamara. Dubai to Singapore stopping at Cochin, Mumbai, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. Got a great price when they had a 40%off sale on. Was meant to sale November 2020 but used lift and shift to move to November 2021.
  5. If the Constellation is sold do you think it’s likely another ship will be redeployed to Tampa?
  6. Visited Borneo on a cruise and returned as part of a land based trip the following year so we could visit the Orang Utan and Sun Bear sanctuaries. An amazing experience. Also returned to Bali twice after visiting it on a cruise.
  7. NCL are looking into having had the vaccine a prerequisite for cruising. Wonder if Celebrity will follow suit? https://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Norwegian-is-looking-into-the-legality-of-vaccination-requirement
  8. I’ve just repriced my cruise and it’s £4,000 ($5,300}more with the latest promotion of 40% off. Looks like we got a better deal when we originally booked.
  9. I contacted Celebrity on Twitter and received this response: Hello, Thank you for your message. While we fully support the reorganization efforts of Pullmantur and continue to work productively with Pullmantur as it develops its new business plan, it is important to clarify that we have not agreed to lease or sell any of our ships, including any Celebrity Millennium class ships, to Pullmantur. 11. Would highly recommend doing Western Australia as a land holiday not a cruise. We did a 3 week road trip there last November/ December and it was amazing. You would miss so many great things if you did it by cruise due to time in port.
  12. I would recommend not doing B2B but spending some time on land at either side. I’ve done the Sydney to Auckland cruise and on reflection now wish we had done the whole thing as a land based trip and hired a car. We did a 3 week land based tour of Western Australia last November/December and it was fabulous and we saw so much more.
