  1. Are you parking at the port? If so, no point getting there before 10:30. The parking lot won't open before then.
  2. I think I read that at the Manhattan pier, unlike most others, you do NOT drop off your checked luggage before parking. Do they have smart carts, or porters, available to help with getting luggage from your car to the pier entrance? How much of a walk is it? We're looking at a Carnival cruise.
  3. LOL. DW pointed that out to me 10 seconds before you did. But, the $5 juice is still a big issue to me.
  4. Two major problems: 1. No pancakes, waffles, or French toast? (correction: pancakes and French toast are on menu) 2. OJ is now an extra charge for breakfast, even for kids?
  5. 9-11 group has activities that require sign out privileges (like scavenger hunt). Something to think about.
  6. I would say absolutely yes. From carnival’s website regarding cruise cash: Cruise Cash provides an immediate credit to a guest's Sail & Sign account. This credit is good for any charge made to their account including taxes and gratuity charges. Cruise Cash is valid for a single voyage and cannot be transferred to future bookings. Cruise Cash is non-refundable and any unused credits will be forfeited. also: Onboard Credit is provided as a non-refundable and non-transferable credit to your Sail & Sign account up to $25 per room for 2-5 day sailings and up to $50 per room for 6+ day sailings, and may not be applied to cruise fare or Taxes, Fees and Port Expenses.
  7. We had a great time.... but it didn't go as planned. We decided on the walking tour with Gregg's Safari, which we booked online in advance directly with them. The ship did not offer this tour. They didn't ask for any payment in advance, but was a no show at the pier. So, we hired one of the tour guides that hang around the information desk, and we had a terrific time. The walk lasted just under 2 hours, and then he drove us around a little, before taking us back to the ship. He charged us less than half what Gregg's Safari would have been.
  8. If the end of July comes and my swiss cheese memory forgets, feel free to quote this message so I get a notification email to let you know!
  9. we're doing a rainforest tour. Haven't gone yet, but I can try to remember to let you know how it went when we get back mid July.
  10. Trying to decide between a 4x4 tour through the rainforest, or a walking tour. The 4x4 tour would be a longer trek through the forest (mileage wise), so we would see more of it. The walking tour is a two mile circular trail. But, by walking, we'd be able to get up close and more detailed looks. But, would we get the same amount of variety and feeling of being "in" the rainforest as the 4x4 ride? Touring the rainforest is absolutely something we are greatly looking forward to, so picking the excursion that really gets us into it is a high priority. Thanks for the input!
  11. Thanks! We just booked the 11:15. So excited for this. A little nervous, though, as this is our first excursion without the transportation prearranged!
  12. So booking is now available. The available times are 9:15 and 11:15 Our port time is 7:30 to 3:45. Which of these times will work best? We'll have to take a cab, and I have no idea how long that will take. Thanks!
  13. Thank you so much! That is so awesome of you. I hope you have a fantastic cruise!
  14. Hello, While Disney cruise has excursions to Coral World, they don't have one that includes the sea lion swim. Online, Coral World does not have any times available for that day. Is it just too early, or will they not have any for our day (June 27)? If we can book it, I know we'll have to take a cab to and from. How far away is it from the port? I would need to know what times we could make given our port schedule. I tried emailing them, but I have not gotten a response back. Thanks!
  15. Price will be higher on board. On line price between now and your cruise could go up. I guess, technically, it could also go down. But, I think that very unlikely. Sent from my SM-G930P using Forums mobile app
