I don't think it's just Alaska. We were on the Mardi Gras May 7th, and the whole group of friends we made on the ship all tested positive when we got off. It was my 2nd time getting it (got it on Labor day), but the rest of my family's first time getting it. It was really nothing more than a cold for us though, gone in about 3-4 days.

We rented a bungalow in the adult area, which is just past the "normal" area, in March. I would not do it again. It was far from the beach, and was very rocky in front of the bungalow. A lady in the Bungalow next to us fell on the rocks trying to make it to the beach. It was a pretty good walk to get food. There was a bar close by though. I do not remember what we paid, but I did not think it was worth it. It was very pretty though.

I was just on the Sprit at the end of March. The smoker wants 5141, can just go up the elevators by the room and walk out to the smoking section on Lido. That's where most of the smokers go, since there is seating. Deck 3 has no seating.
