  1. Yes, unless they've changed something.
  2. Bonine is Meclizine, an antihistamine. It's like taking Benadryl (Diphenhydramine), which is the "PM" ingredient in meds like Tylenol PM or Advil PM. Most sleeping pills are some form of psychiatric medications -- sedative, anti-anxiety, hypnotic, etc. They can be "habit forming" which is a nicer way to say "addicting". Drugs like Ambien are sedating and hypnotic, which is why you hear about people sleep-walking (or even sleep-cooking and sleep-eating!) when they take it. I can't imagine waking up to find that my kitchen is a mess because I cooked something and didn't clean up and I don't remember any of it! If you use an antihistamine to fall asleep every night, you may eventually have trouble falling asleep without it (because your body/brain kind of forget how to do it without the help and you need to learn again), but your body won't go through physical withdrawal symptoms. The psychiatric meds, however, can result in physical addiction if used regularly. Hope that helps.
  3. There is no restriction against it. I would be prepared to bring your unit on board yourself, rather than leaving it with the porters, so there is no risk of damage. And there is no way I would fly with a home machine, unless you have a way to enclose it in styrofoam padding for each flight -- airlines are brutal with all cargo, even gate-checked fragile items. Also make sure you bring enough dialysate on board with you (carried yourself) to get you to the first port of call. In case there is a delay getting your dialysate to you (like it gets flagged by security), or in the very rare case that it does not make it on the ship, you'll need something to get you through until you can get to a port where you can fly home. I would also plan on bringing your own biohazard bags for discarding your tubing and bags (you can pour the used dialysate down the toilet). I'm sure they have biohazard bags on board for cleaning up puke and such, but it will be much easier if you just bring your own rather than trying to track them down on board. Calling or emailing the Special Needs department would be the best way to handle all of this. Filling out the online form has iffy results, but if you can call and talk to someone (or email) and ask them to email you a confirmation (that you can show at port if anyone gives you any problems), you'll know for sure that you have the all-clear. If you need further assistance, please contact our Access Department at special_needs@rccl.com or 866-592-7225.
  4. It at least looks like they've changed the cabanas to read "per package" instead of "per person"! I don't know how many threads there used to be each month asking about if they had to buy a cabana for each person in the group!!!!
  5. Just FYI, Chill Island is comprised of three different little coves. Most people come off the pier and walk to the left over the bridge (the yellow line). Another way is to ride the tram (the red line) to the end of the road where it turns around, which is at the third little cove. Not as many people seem to go that way in the mornings, so it seems to be less crowded there than at the "yellow line" end of the beach. The food/restroom area is the purple circle. I haven't done Chill Island for a couple of years now, but I know they used to have a problem with the sargassum blowing in, sinking, and rotting. Once you got out maybe thigh/hip deep, the ground under your feet got kind of slimy and your foot would sink into it a bit, plus it would give off a bit of a sulphur smell as you stepped through it. I do not know if it's still that way, just a fair bit of warning. Breezy Bay Beach is the one on the bottom right of the photo, and it's the stop before (and after) the end of the tram line. That's also the Oasis Lagoon pool stop that lets you off by the swim-up bar end of the pool. Breezy Bay doesn't seem to have the slimy sand problem, but the waves are stronger there, so there is often a tall "ledge" or "shelf" under the water that can be difficult to climb back up because it kinda collapses under your feet as you're going up it. Another option is Harbor Beach, which is the cove in the center of the island (and where the tenders used to drop you off before the pier was built). The water here is very calm, so there's no underwater ledge/shelf to deal with. It's also protected from the sargassum situation, so there's no stinky, slimy sand underfoot. You can get to Harbor Beach by walking the orange line, or come from the other end by walking the yellow line over the bridge, then turning right. There are two buffet options from Harbor Beach -- the green circle or the purple circle. They both offer the same foods, so just go to whichever is closest. They both have restrooms nearby as well. The closest Snack Shack (unless they've built another recently that I don't know about) is going to be at the Breezy Bay tram stop (just before and just after the end of the line at Chill Island). The snack shop has the free drink dispensers (water, flavored water) and the much touted Chicken Sandwich, mozzarella sticks, and funnel cakes, in addition to burgers, fries, and some salad options (I think Caesar and pasta?). You can also take the chicken breast off a sandwich and add it to a Caesar salad. I hope this helps!
  6. When I was disowned by my mother in 2002, she was still using the gas dryer that they bought in 1963 !!!!! I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear it's still going to this day.
  7. I've been wondering the same thing.... or how many people asking to switch rooms because they can't stand their neighbors! 🤣
  8. Reminds me of when I was on my ten-week stint of cruises... the chlorine from the pools/hot tubs was making my swimsuits disintegrate, so I ordered replacements online and had them delivered to the Airbnb where I was staying for an overnight between ships.
  9. And @Ozark_Kid brought up the subject of split-base adjustable beds, and they happen to be on sale at Sam's Club as of today (available in all sizes, not just king-split). https://www.samsclub.com/p/members-mark-adjustable-base/prod24380761
  10. This made me think of the times various "monsters" (spiders and such) from Down Under have been discussed on this thread!
