I just checked.  There are tickets available for June 17, including non-guided tickets to the underground.

Did you mean May 17th? I didn't see any for June but did see one time slot left for May 17th.  We don't go until September but once I know for sure when they release tickets - forgot to check right at 6pm EST - I'll set up a reminder on my calendar.

The link you are using is for guided visits. (visita guidada). Click on the "Ticketing Homepage" link. Or just use the plain link:

    https://ticketing.colosseo.it/en/

You will be offered Guided Tours, Individuals, Groups and Schools.  Click on "Individuals."  Then click on a "Full Experience" ticket.  Those are the admission tickets without the tours.

The Domus Aurea is great.  It has a really well done virtual experience.  Your hotel will hold your luggage after you check out until you return.

Good luck.  Let us know if you get the tickets.

Thank you so much. Very helpful! I will save those links.  We're staying in a VRBO so I can send them a message and see if they can hold our luggage a bit for us. We still haven't decided if we're gonna take a train or private transport to the port.

  3. @marazul So am I going to the right place for the guided tickets - cause it's always showing sold out.  I'll check at 6pm EST and see if tickets for the 17th show up.

Having a hard time find the non-guided underground tickets - their website is a bit confusing to me with all their different ticket options.

As a side note, this past weekend I was watching a History Channel special on The Dormus Area and thought that would be neat to tour too....except it seems tickets are only available Fri, Sat and Sun when we are not available.  Well, maybe we could do Friday morning before we head to the port assuming we could find a place to hold our luggage. 🙂

  4. Been checking their new (and old and it sometimes throws you back to the old one) website to try and get an idea as to what time of day (or night here in the US) they add tickets for the new day.  Very much interested in trying to get an underground tour of the Colosseum (but also want to see Palatine Hill as well) and it seems it's always sold out.  Everything is overpriced on Viator and other websites and even when you read reviews it seems they can switch up the tours and sometimes you don't even make it to the underground areas and people are waiting on refunds, etc.   Are all these vendors scooping up that tickets and that's what's making it more difficult for individuals to get tickets?

I will be on The Carnival Legend sailing September 6th. Is there anyway to find out who will dock first Legend or Epic? Or I guess we will have to wait until the day we arrive at Mykonos.

    Probably not. 😢

Still not letting me log in. Bad UN or PW. This is not good.

Same for me.  Our last person just completed check-in and I went to log in to the app to download their Set Sail pass to my apple wallet and it prompted me to log in.  Said my password was wrong. Tried it again. No go.  Went to my laptop - again, no go.   Double checked my password with the "show" option to make sure it was right...down to 6 attempts now and I know I have the correct password.

Just remember that a single device means one device at a time.  Unless you are both on at the same time you may be able to buy just a one-device package and share the login.

Just want to confirm...if there are three of us but we don't plan to use internet that much, as long as one of us are only logged on at a time, we can share a one-device package (and we each can use our own phones - we don't have the share the same device)?

You do know that cost is bid x 2, regardless of how many people are in the cabin.

I do - thank you. It's still a great price to upgrade considering we only paid $3300 total for all three of us for an ocean view balcony.

Occasionally the minimum bid may be adjusted.  Usually my minimum bids remain constant, but I have seen a few minimum bids go down or up over the bidding period.  If the current minimum bid for the sunset junior suite is more than you are willing to pay, you could re-check your offers occasionally to see if the minimum has changed.

Thank you - for what we originally paid for our balcony, I think this would be an amazing upgrade and would jump on it if we were splitting the cost. But knowing I'd be paying it all myself is what is holding me back.... Then again, you only turn 50 once......and it is Icon......then again, I do have a European cruise in September and could use that money there..... decisions, decisions....

Yep, that's the sailing. I see a lot, but I get way less than 80 total. My bid was the min $170 pp. The infinite balconys don't seem to sell as well. I have to do another count.

I am tempted to bid on the junior sunset suite for our 5/4 sailing....but I'd have to fork out the whole amount as the friends I am going with are satisfied with our balcony. Trying to talk myself out of it...  Also haven't ever been offered a chance to upgrade before. Do they ever accept anything below the minimum?

Will be in Barcelona for two and a half days (3nights) pre-cruise.  Looking to schedule an itinerary … realistically knowing we won’t see it all.

    Staying at H10 Catalunya Plaza

     1. Midday arrival, so for a half day, thinking of just wandering that area depending on jet lag.

    2. 1st full day….

a city tour(suggestions??) to get acquainted with the city then a nice dinner

    3.  2nd full day…

early tour of Sagrada Familia then Gothic Quarter? easy walk? Taxi?

    4. 3rd day noonish

head to cruise port after leisure morning ( coffee/breakfast on the plaza)

    Thanks for suggestions!

Sounds pretty similar to what we did!  We arrived early AM - dropped luggage off at the hotel and ventured out along La Rambla towards the water.  We paid for a little cruise around the port and walked around the gothic quarter for a bit. Checked back into the hotel and unpacked for the few days we were there (toiletry items and stuff).   Then headed back out to find an ATM to get some Euros and eat dinner.  We were getting tired by then so after a quick bite to eat we headed back and we asleep by 8pm!

Next day we had an all-day tour with Barcelona Day Tours for Montserrat and city tour (loved it).  And then the morning we boarded, I made reservations for Sagrada Familia in the morning and we just took the metro there and back and then a taxi to the cruise port.

As I'm sure you know, be sure to purchase your tickets in advance.  Sagrada Familia is still one of the most amazing places I have ever stepped in. Enjoy.

Was the Fast Track simple and easy to use? Is the premise that you check bags and get tix at the airline counter then through the Fast Track line with the pre-purchased QR code to get to security checks quicker?
Will be flying out of FCO later this year and any slight advantage helps....... 🙂

I'm not sure I know the answer to your questions as I haven't used it yet but this is what i can tell you.  I purchased three fast track for our outbound flight in September from FCO to the US (direct).  I received a couple emails - one was a receipt confirming the purchase and the other was an email with three QR codes that just said Guest 1, Guest 2 and Guest 3. I emailed them bc I was still a little unsure as to how this worked and received the following response:

"once completed check in formalities you need to go through security to reach your gate.

Nearby the common lane you will find the fast track lane to go through.

Just show your boarding pass and the QR code on the voucher received."

Therefore, I'm assuming after I drop off my luggage and walk inside, there's a separate line we can go through (I believe it's to the right) for fast track people and the QR codes are not tied to anyone specific in my party.

Well, it won't be great. No denying that. But it least it won't be like Santorini where the path up the cliffs is such a choke point.

True; but our day in Santorini currently consists of 6 ships and approximately 11k people.  I just booked a Carnival excursion for that one to get off early and then they give us a ticket to go back down the cable car (I fully intend to head back early before the lines start to form).

So sorry this is happening. I've found DL a little easier to work with when this happens.

I would just do walk off self assist. Best of luck.

That is our plan. I prefer to walk off anyway - by that point I'm ready to get off and be ahead of the crowds. But it seems more and more people are doing that as well.  Think it's easier to just take a taxi to the airport (MIA) than trying to arrange a service and not knowing when the ship will get clearance, etc.?

For those of you that have recently been on ICON and did the self assist walk off with the ship arriving at 6:00am into POM what time were you actually able to walk off?

Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks for asking. American Airlines has changed our flights 3x now and now has us on a 10:03 flight (originally 1:40 pm).  If we don't make the 10:03 my two friends miss their connection (I booked separately and don't have a connection) so they can't switch to a later flight and when I called AA about it, they said my friends weren't allowed to switch their flights as they booked a "basic" fare and no changes were allowed.  Well no s^&*  - but YOU keep canceling flights and moving up them to an earlier time. SMH  Hoping it won't be a problem but I'm not gonna stress about it either. 🙂

Typically, electing to charge in "native" currency without conversion is better as your credit card bank will offer better exchange rates when they do the conversion...sometimes its only a small amount, but it all adds up over time....also why its better to get money from a Main Street bank ATM overseas rather than an exchange facility🙂

I always get so confused as to where/which type of ATM to get my money from overseas.  Luckily, my local bank doesn't charge any ATM fees but I know I still have to deal with Conversion factors.  On this upcoming cruise, a few tours are preferring to be paid in euros at the end of the tour so I know I am going to need to withdraw money in several ports (or in Rome over a few days before the cruise leaves as we have 2 days pre-cruise there).  But I am so confused over what the "good' types of ATMs are.

It's a QR code,,,you can print and/or have the confirmation email available on your phone (I'm assuming they will accept either, but I haven't done it myself yet at the airport)

I was able to purchase this for our September trip - I'd rather pay the 7eu just in case - you never know and it's not a lot of money for peace of mind.  My question is this....I got the initial email for payment, then a separate email that just said Guest 1, Guest 2 and Guest 3 and with separate bar codes.  Is this all I get and/or need? Do I not need to submit names, flight info or anything else? Will they send anything else prior to my flight? I was a little confused by the lack of information when purchasing so I came here hoping to find more info.  Thanks in advance.

We just booked with them. We opted for them to convert to US.  It came to an extra $29 for the tour for 2 people.  Not sure if we would have made out better with the other option.  The conversion was $1.09 for US equal to their dollar.

I had them charge me in Euros and when the charge came through on my credit card statement it ended up being $323.79 - so that works out to $107.93 each (USD).  So I'd say it's not much difference. 🙂

Thank you for answering though. Much appreciated.
