  1. ]My wife and I are looking at a cruise that stops in Rio during Carnival. Has anyone use a private tour to go to the Samba Stadium?

Thanks for getting back. I've been downloading apps and your info will help. We are also staying in Rome for three days pre cruise. We are in a hotel in walking distance of the Piazza Narvona. We have been to Rome twice and enjoyed it.

    Greek Islands

I posted on the roll call 3 days ago, still waiting for one of the four people to post. Did I mention it was HAL? The question is does anyone have a suggestion for beaches on any of the islands? I left my email so that it wouldn't clutter the thread.
  4. We will be on a HAL cruise in April and May. We'll be visiting Corfu, Argostoli, Crete, Rhodes, Santorini. We are intrestered in beaches, for sitting not for swimming, town squares for sipping Ouzo. You can email at samkmm1969@yahoo.com. Thanks.
  5. We used Alla Tours in St Petersburg. It was the best tour we have ever taken. We were picked up at 7AM they got our Visa's no hassel there. We got to see all the sights that we wanted. Our 1st day ended around 7PM. We chose to stay and go to MARINSKY BALLET ! Which was wonderful. Taken back to Ship around MIDNIGHT. Only to get up and off ship for 7AM again. Back about 4PM. We wanted to go to local food store, candy store(chocolates made there) RUSSIAN VODKA to bring home. Wasn't even taken from us. So good. Tour was wonderful and worth every penny. Needed CRISP Bills but that was the entire cruise to pay for tours. Enjoy your visit wanting to do it again. One of these days.

  7. We are thinking of booking a CruiseTour to China and the Far East. The agent we were talking to mentioned we would need a double visa. Any idea what that entails? We would be going on Princess. We have been to Russia and Turkey on cruises and the visa's were included in the tours. Thanks for your help
  8. We were on board also. We were in our cabin at the time of the list. Draws opened, things came flying off the dresser luck would have it our cameras came unto the bed off dresser. My husband was trying to walk and was thrown against the wall. I was lying in bed and couldn't get up. We saw broken glass in shops. There were some injuries but minor we were told. My husband saw a women who's face was black & blue from dresser falling on her. My first reaction was to NEVER SAIL again! This was our 18th cruise. BUT I decided to go down and put a deposit on another cruise that very day. So I will sail again. We were on our way back to NY from HALIFAX. We got caught in a storm and the Captain and crew did what they could. I did see a massive wave while sitting on deck 5 hit the window. The Captain kept telling us what was going on and trying to ease our nerves. I think the Captain did a very good job of keeping all of us safe. Some things were canceled that day. BUT it was for our safety. I for one didn't want anyone getting hurt either passanger nor crew member. Thanks for a job well done. Kathy & Steve
  9. I did a zip line in Costa Rica in 2006 when I was 56. It wasn't hard at all. We walked on trails, over a couple of bridges that onlt 3 people at a time could be on, and up a few metal stair cases to get to the first tree and then it was tree to tree on the zip line. There are more strenous ones I'm sure but I had a great time and would do it again. A couple at our table were in their 70's and not only ziplined, not the one I did, but also repelled down a waterfall. Go gor it!!!!
