  1. Thanks for your quick reply. What department/person at American Airlines did you contact? Is it possible to get a copy of the letter you submitted? Thanks again.............
  2. Hi Sandy, We are in the same predicament with NCL. We also booked with miles. What type of letter did they require from American? Was it just the receipt that showed the charge to redeposit? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.....................
  3. Thanks again Bruce. Looks like we may be booking the MESM. Can you recommend any local tour companies?
  4. Thanks for the tip. You're it's been showing not available for some time. Thanks again
  5. Thanks Bruce for your info. For touring is the Marriott on Kitashinagawa a good location? how much do you think a cab would cost from this location to cruise pier 30-40 UDS?? The other hotel I mentioned the MESM is not centrally located for restaurants etc (we'll be their for 3 days) but as you said it is right next to subway & airport monorail. How difficult do you think it would be to use the monorail from airport with 4 pieces of luggage? or is it better to take cab?
  6. Thanks for all your responses. The Marriott Tokyo is located at 4-7-36 Kitashinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo 140-0001 Japan. We looked at the Hilton Odaiba but it is booked. The Mesm Hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy family don't have much more info yet as it is not open yet. They are taking reservations. How far is the Marriott Tokyo from the new international pier? Thanks again ....... Marian
  7. Hi Bruce, Thanks for the accurate information. For clarification, we are arriving in Tokyo in November to embark on a cruise (NCL Spirit) which is suppose to berth at the new terminal in Tokyo. Can you please advise if the Marriott Tokyo or the new Mesm Japan would be a good choice for a 2 day stay for touring major sights in Tokyo prior to embarkation. Thanks for all your info.. Marian, Hollywood FL USA.
  8. Good Afternoon To All, Does anyone know who is the Concierge on The Jewel? We are sailing September 2, 2019. Thanks
  9. You were very lucky to find space. I called Temsco Helicopters (NCL has contracted with for excursion) in Juneau directly yesterday. I have also heard good things about Coastal Helicopters however, they stop taking bookings at the end of August. As of yesterday, there is still plenty of snow for dog sledding. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed. Good luck and don't melt all the snow:)
  10. We were told when we booked the same excursion (Sept 4) that there was more than a 50% chance that it would be cancelled due to warm weather. We had checked for Skagway as well but were told Skagway shuts the camp down earlier than Juneau. We know how you feel...This is our 3rd attempt for the dog sledding. The last two times there was white out conditions and the copters couldn't fly. What type of deal did they offer for helicopter & glacier? Any info would be appreciated We wish you smooth sailings
  11. Hi Tom & Jimmy, Congrats on your upcoming nuptials. The Epic is our favorite NCL ship. We actually had our vows renewed in 2010 during its inaugural season. The ceremony was performed by the Captain in the bridge viewing area. I think you now may have to book the ceremony through the Special Occasions department. We were blessed by being the first couple to have vows exchanged on board! Enjoy yourselves....................Cheers
  12. Does NCL have a Naturalist on board Alaska cruises?
  13. Yes, John is still with NCL. We sailed with him on the Jewel (New Zealand) February 2019. Great Concierge.
