I took a cooking class yesterday on grandeur the good: instructor was fabulous the bad; the name of the class was misleading and I was not interested in what was being taught. The class was called”wok n roll”. I expected a class in wok cooking. Instead it was a class in Asian cooking. Almost nothing to do with a wok and using ingredients I don’t care for. I walked out I mentioned the issue to David, the cd. The names of the classes should accurately describe the class content. He agreed

Thx. We are very lucky to sail in these large suites. When we first started cruising we didn’t even have a veranda. lol. Getting older. Can’t take it with us!

I’ve been on since Barcelona. I never noticed any issues. The grand suite is amazing. We were in one on splendor. Almost too big for two. Lots of xtra perks we really don’t need but it was an offer we couldn’t refuse. For us the grandeur suite is sweet spot. We try to book the “named suite” on regent ships. Bouncing my last check

Thx. My team on the seven day was great. First or second every day and tons of fun. The new team fun but I don’t think we will do as well. I’m just going to save my points. I have 5 more cruises on grandeur. I should be able to get something on my own. Lol so nice seeing you again

I’m still on board. Lucky me demographic back to “normal” after the 7 day Caribbean cruise. We were fortunate to be invited to dinner with new captain last night He is positively charming food continues to be wonderful. Service impeccable. I have a terrific bridge partner for this leg and another fun trivia team the staff in coffee connections is just incredible of course by now they know what I drink but they learn about everyone’s preferences so quickly. Gennaro is fabulous barista i have not seen so many people booking on board for a long time. There are 2 cruise consultants and both are very busy book early

Since the number of passengers on cc is so low, might be hard to learn about specific cabins.

The issues cannot be fixed until a dry dock imo. They need to add insulation. If you are really a light sleeper bring ear plugs I have been in 2 different grandeur suites and now a grand suite. No issues at all. Not sure why. Might be the amount of space there are design flaws(small) in both these cabin categories. But no noise from adjoining cabins

My friend just got off the new Oceania vista. same parent company. Same shipyard. Same problem ncl is now quite aware of the issue. it is not every cabin. I’m in my third cabin and so far we have not heard anything. But we are in larger suites and those might be unaffected. I believe the issue occurs when the bed in one suite shares a wall the tv or sitting area in another.

Agree about desserts. But I am glad. Fewer desserts I like means less weight gain. lol the best desserts imo are at afternoon tea but we rarely go. If I have tea and sweets at 4 pm then no dinner. Plus it conflicts with trivia. I have my priorities Oceania dining room to be avoided at all costs 😁

Food not as good as expected? I’ve sailed crystal silversea seabourn Paul Gauguin. And celebrity in the suite restaurant 15 cruises on Oceania. Born and raised in nyc where good food is religion. Cooking school in Tuscany. Months in Provence and Tuscany where the best food in The world can be found. I’ve eaten in per se, French laundry and Paul bocuse restaurants. I have a pretty high standard for food. with the exception of chartreuse the food on this ship has been outstanding in every venue for a ship. Compass rose tops any main dining room on any ship. My only complaint is that room service menu too limited. food is subjective and that’s my subjective opinion

Nonsense. They come in to clean balcony Takes 10 minutes. Then it’s yours to use what’s wrong with these people ? I’ve been on since Barcelona and I’m staying on until Los Angeles. I have had a near perfect cruise experience. A few minor issues ( duh it’s a new ship) were rectified immediately. Judge for yourself. I have 4 more cruises booked on this ship

Same on grandeur

Chartreuse is a disaster imo. It is doctored classic French food. They add unnecessary ingredients. Why screw around with fabulous French food?

I’ve been on for 2 cruises. Only once was coffee connection full and I just asked to join a couple at a table for 4. I don’t see it as an issue

At the end of the cruise when they have the farewell ceremony the laundry team gets the most applause for good reason disagree with you about pool grill. I have had flawless experience love the options pool special buffets are fabulous but they happen largely on sea days. On the crossing we had 4 and all were wonderful

And now we have magnificent Christmas decorations. the ship is breathtakingly beautiful

This cruise may have set a record for the number of chair hogs every shaded chaise has stuff on it. No one in the pool and too early for lunch. They’re on an excursion. Lol it really disgusts me

The vibe very different. One guy tried to get into compass rose for dinner wearing shorts and a t shirt.

I have been in two different suites. I have not heard any noise from neighboring suites. Not sure you can know in advance unless someone on cc has been in same suite. Not likely since we are such a small percentage of cruisers
