  1. None has impressed me or enhanced our on-board fun. Only one, a blonde woman, really irritated me.
  2. How I wish the Freedom would return to Galveston. She is my favorite ship by far.
  3. Yes they have blinds. Guests are asked to keep the blinds closed when it's dark outside, but only when lights are turned on in the cabin.
  4. You are correct. I had a slip of the brain when describing them as aft.
  5. Conquest class ships have a very limited number of aft facing cabins with floor to ceiling windows. Grab one if you ever see one available. They are Scenic Ocean View and Grand Scenic Ocean View. Conquest, Glory, Liberty, Valor, and Freedom I believe.
  6. I have not heard of a limit on All State's site. Last I heard there was a limit on AARP's site. I wonder if anyone else experienced a limit?
  7. I originally thought it could be that the Sailabration cruises were different because of the throwback activities they promoted. However I also have a May 2022 cruise booked. I just checked and no specialty reservations are available on it either.
  8. Elsisi congratulations on the milestones. Steakhouse reservations aren't available on my Sailabration cruise on the Breeze. I agree with skrufy. If they don't offer pre-sales you shouldn't have any trouble reserving once you are on the ship.
  9. This sounds like actual plans are being made to address CDC concerns and implement protocols for a safe return to cruising. Good news.
  10. I voted no. I am fully vaccinated as are all family members who might sail with me. I believe we are protected from Covid. I want to be protected from threat of a shortened cruise and threat of quarantine if other cruisers are or become infected. After a year of partial isolation and always wearing a mask in public, I won't pay to have those same conditions on a cruise.
  11. ober 134 I would greatly annoyed and would ask for a different pvp.
  12. When they first started cancelling them last year it took a long time, sometimes as long as 90 days. According to reports posted here in the last several months the process has been streamlined considerably. My most recently cancelled cruise is the first time I have requested a refund instead of FCC. The refund was delayed because my TA died and his accounts were transferred to another agency and it took a little time for Carnival to figure that out. Carnival recognized him as my agent on April 15 and on April 21 (yesterday) I received via Fed Ex gift cards
  13. Happy sailing! The Freedom is my favorite ship.
  14. I agree, 8448. It has a long balcony port side as well as the aft view.
  15. For long term planning check the Allstate topic and the AARP topic on this thread. To buy some in the near future, some retail establishments have offered them in the past. I think I remember people mentioning Krogers, Publix, and maybe Home Depot.
  16. I have had both aft-extended and a spa cabins on the Breeze. My preference is the spa balcony but on deck 11. The balconies on deck 12 aren't covered. The view from the aft-extended balconies is awesome and the extra space is awesome. Downside is there is hardly ever a breeze. The cabins on deck 9 get some shade from the overhang of deck 10. These are my favorite. Bottom line, I prefer spa balcony on deck 11. Happy sailing.
  17. Elaine, no one has sailed on Carnival for a year. Last time i sailed it was still possible to cash out at the casino.
  18. I completely agree everyone has a right to choose whether to get the vaccinations. I go even farther in believing every cruise line and every country has the right to choose whether to allow passage on their ships or entry into their country.
  19. Of course I have a passport. So does every single family member I have ever taken with me across the northern or southern border, or on a cruise. Full stop.
