Morning all, Did everyone remember to alter their clocks? How do you alter your body clock, though? I've been awake since 5 am this morning. It's still fairly mild, weather wise at 12c, but rain is forecast again. I know we need it as our reserviors are still low, but enough is enough! Enjoy your Sunday.

We fly out to join Azura in January, from Bristol with Jet2, but glad to read that security wasn't a hassle. It is surprising how different airports have different rules!

A nice bright sunny day here at present, but rain is forecast again for later. We were eating our meal the night before last and was suddenly plunged into darkness as we had a power cut. Went to put on the dishwasher last night and it was displaying a foreign language, Russian I think 🤷‍♀️ After paying a visit to Mr Google it is now back to English!😊 Happy Birthday to both Graham and Splice the Mainbrace. Just a word of warning regarding train tickets. You may want to get tickets that can be used on a different train to the one you may have booked on. We didn't arrive into Southampton until 10 am when on Britannia in September due to bad weather, therefore disembarkation didn't start until about 11 am. Luckily we weren't affected as we had travelled up by road.

Sorry no experience of Uber. We stayed at the West Quay Premier Inn in September and pre-booked two taxis from the foyer. They arrived at the time we booked and I received text notifications with the registration numbers and the type of cars just before they arrived.

Morning all, Hope everyone is well. Home again after what seemed a very long journey home yesterday. Flight was on time and managed to get an earlier train than that originally booked, thinking we would be home by 11 pm instead of half past midnight. Wrong! Train we caught at Reading was packed, standing room only when boarded, as previous train had been cancelled. The train then got later and later and we arrived back in Penzance only 10 minutes ahead of our original time. I hate to think how late we would have been if we hadn't caught the earlier train!😳 All your posts about Christmas cake, mince pies and chocolate makes me think that I had better get myself sorted too. I will also need to defrost my freezer first. Have just been talking to Mum and she has said that she has plenty of apples for me that I need to collect. Pam

Another hot day here, 23c. I didn’t sleep well last night as the temp didn't drop last night. I'm all packed and ready to go to the airport for our flight home this afternoon😪 I hope our journey home has less hassle than outward journey.

I have Jet2 flights for the middle January front Bristol to Tenerife and was able to book our seats last Friday.

Went out again this afternoon and ended up down the beach as the sun was setting. Had a meal at a restaurant this evening and although it's 10 pm it's warm, 23c.

It started off today as cloudy, with a slight breeze, but it's cleared up and is now 28c. Went out this morning to visit a village that is being renovated to a style reminiscent to Gaudi. The tiles remind me of Portuguese buildings.

That seems to be a problem I have with lot of photos on this site.🤷‍♀️
