  1. I haven’t been on Edge but on other Celebrity ships over Christmas. Each time I found it fairly low key. Nice decorations etc and did have Santa for kids, Turkey on the Main Dining room menu , ‘it’s a wonderful life ‘ at the cinema but as an earlier cruiser said it’s not as overtly celebrated as you would think. I imagine they are conscious of other passengers who don’t celebrate the festival and allow for that. I found that it’s a nice way to spend Christmas if you want a change but don’t expect it to be a ‘Disney type’ Christmas all over the ship.
  2. 27-31st Dec. Sean O Shea entertainer first class ! A lady direct from Las Vegas ( Suzanne?) did a ‘Divas of music’ show which wasn’t my cup of tea. Very Mariah/Celine. If you like that sort of loud ballad singing you would have loved it. The Celebrity show excellent. Young lady with guitar in outside bar at back of the ship played in evenings but her music choices weren’t for me. A lot of very modern songs rather than the types I’m used to hearing from similar entertainers in past years. I’m sure I sound very ‘picky’ and generally loved my cruise. I always found something to suit me by strolling around the ship. Cruise Director good . Always ended with ‘GraciAs sssss’
  3. Just back from lovely 4 night cruise on Infinity. We went Concierge guarantee and were assigned 8047. We were really happy with size of CC cabins but ours had an obstruction which was not obvious on Deck plan . ? Window washing / cleaning equipment. It was just tied on with rope but looked fairly permanent. We still had great trip but if on longer voyage, people might find annoying . By the way. The ‘ canapé’ delivered to our room each evening were laughable ! 4 tiny unrecognizable bites. We were never tempted to even try. Otherwise didn’t notice any other diffs from standard balcony except we used constellation lounge for disembarkation. Same price as reg balcony so enjoyed trying it.
  4. On Dec 27th sailing and really looking forward to it!
  5. I just wondered, if I take Uber or Lyft from. Miami , will they have a problem with dropping me off at correct pier ( infinity/Dec) ? I know when we get local taxi or hotel transfer, they seem to know where they are going . I know there are signs, but will it be up to us to direct the driver? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  6. Thank you so much. I’m happy to hear that I’ve made a good choice. Christmas is such an important time for us and I really wanted a good standard of hotel. Although judging by general SoBe prices we won’t be having too many cocktails in the hotel bar! Still, we can enjoy the surroundings. It’s so great to have people with knowledge of the area who can reassure those of us who are new to Miami . Appreciate it! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  7. Hey Concierge. Can I ask you a SB hotel question? Booked National Hotel for 4 nights pre cruise. 2 adults 55yrs and 1 14yr old. No car. Working out at $400+ over Christmas. Is this a good choice ? Like a nice pool. Bit nervous as so much choice. Any others you’d recommend in same area? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  8. Do you know if taxi is flat rate or per mile ? Would we have an idea fare to expect? Thanks for the advice .
  9. I also got quote Miami to south beach $90+ 3.00 airport toll +20% grat. South beach to port everglades $100 plus grat . 3 people. SUV/limo Thinking of getting Uber/Lyft for these trips but nervous that after coming off long haul flight I’d be too stressed to sort it.. although I used it previously in Orlando and found it great!
