I did a LOT of international travel. I have never seen a foreign ATM that FORCED a bad rate. They offer it, in LARGE FONT, but in the corner is a small link to deline. And I find, that unlike US ATMs, very few foreign ATMs charge a fee. If you do find one, most likely there one right next to it or close by that does not. ALL foreign ATMs I have run across have internet access. Even in third world countries.

HUH??? Most of the ships MAKE distilled water. That is a part comes out your bathroom tap.

I did two on Vision last year and agree with you. Did the FLL to Balt repo and a Dec 8 night. -
First World "problem" (beverage package avoiding)
SRF replied to sadiwest's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It existed well before COVID. Any why it is amusing? Would you drink from a cup or glass that was used by a stranger???? -
Hmm, wonder if it state by state. My FIL had a grocery store. So I used to check gthe dates to remove them. I always liked that sour cream had a sell by. What's it going do, go sour????

BEST rate is an ATM in the country where you use that money.

Crown & Anchor: when to add children by linking them?
SRF replied to M_BA's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Only if his account was linked to the parents. That may not occur automatically. -
OMG, I now need to go to the UK to exchange all the pound notes I have saved. Darn, I hate when that happens. 😄

Not for dairy. Dairy has a "Sell By" date and should be good for 10 days after the Sell By it kept in a fridge at the proper temperature. Another way to make the cooler work better is to prop the door open. It moves heat from inside to the outside. With the door closed, it gets very warm in the enclosure, so the heat moves back into the cooler.

No, the reason was, if you went to the beach at a port and waited until most people left, there would be hundreds of blue RCI towels left on the beach. They went to checking them in and out so people would bring them back to the ship.

What's going on with Royal Caribbean?
SRF replied to ksuyen's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have no trouble with the smaller portions. If I want more, I ask and they serve it. I think the food quality is about the same (first cruise was 2014). Pretty good, sometimes great, sometimes just OK. I do sometimes have an issue with what they call a dish versus was it served. Like last cruise "tortilla soup" what was slightly spicy tomato soup with some crumbled up corn chips. NOPE. As for drink prices, they are up in restaurants on land. As are food prices. It is difficult to go out to dinner for 2 with one drink each for under $100. Breakfast, with no alcoholic drinks or even juice, is $30+ for 2. Try to get a hotel room for less than $100 a night these days, even under $200 in some areas. Cruising is cheap compared. -
And yes, you can eat one or even two desserts and then ask for another one (or two) to go.

We asked on a Dec 14 out of Baltimore and was told they did not have any.

I posted about the no extra points, and it is clearly stated in the FAQ that no extra points unless "booked" as a solo. So you need to tell them in advance and they may reprice the trip.

When you do your check in you will pick a time from a list.

They don't work well as all the walls and floors are sheet metal. If everyone had a smart phone, but the free messaging in the Royal app.

If you have a package and want to get your free day for someone else, you have to talk Guest Services or VOOM desk. You can't just sign on as you are already signed on. We just did this last cruise. BTW, you can share your package with another user. When they log on, it logs you off. I only buy one internet package and share it with my traveling companion..

These cruise prices are insanely high!!
SRF replied to P.A.'s topic in Royal Caribbean International
That is why I do both. Mix land and cruise. And cruising, I prefer sea days. Port days are too hectic. -

I did not go to the Crown Lounge. I was in a Suite, so free drinks in the Concierge Lounge. -
Recent experience in Diamond (er..Crown) Lounge

Just got off Vision. Lounge was not crowded at all. It was almost like suite guests did not know about it. But last evening a young man was sitting in the lounge. The Concierge asked who he was, and he said he was waiting for his parents. She made him leave and wait outside until they showed up.
