  1. We had a great tour with PL Travel. However, I want to add one cautionary note. When you are dropped off at the Plaka (so that you can find a restaurant for lunch), make sure you know the street names or landmarks of the location where you are to meet the bus at the appointed time. Best approach is to take a photo on your phone! We neglected to do that and had a hard time finding our way back to the meeting.point. We had walked away from the Plaka and had a delicious lunch at a sidewalk cafe. However, we lost our way back to our starting point. As all of the street signs are in Greek, and the people we stopped to ask for help didn’t speak English, we were a little stressed about missing the bus. Thankfully, one of the folks on our group remembered the name of a store in the Plaka. We made it back and vowed to take photos of meeting place signs from now on.
  2. We did not purchase tickets in advance. Per the booking confirmation I received from PK travel, “The licensed tour guide will take care of the entrance tickets and you will pay him (in cash) on the spot.
  3. We took this tour: https://vallartafoodtours.com/food-tours/vallarta-by-road/ as we were a group of 16-18 people. The tour guide was excellent and the food was amazing and plentiful. The tour was well worth the cost.
  4. We, along with a dozen other folks on our Celebrity Eclipse Chile-San Diego roll call, booked a food tour by van with Vallarta Food Tours. It was a fantastic food tour! The food was exceptional and our tour guide was great. She took us to restaurants in a number of neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta, and the portions were substantial and quite good. We are still talking about the tamales. My DH insists they are the best he has ever eaten. Why share this now? Because I just received a discount code from Vallarta Food Tours and want to share it here. Enjoy! I will also post some photos of the food we enjoyed during our tour shortly.
  5. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos and impressions of the ports. We are on board Constellation in September, going from Venice to Barcelona. We will spend two nights in Venice pre-cruise and three nights in Barcelona post-cruise. I am very excited to be visiting Europe again and your trip report is adding to my pre-cruise excitement. We will be in Dubrovnik and Malta so I especially enjoying your posts on those stops. I look forward to reading additional entries and seeing your photos.
  6. Did you receive any perks (i.e. GOBIG, GOBETTER) for the cruise that you received the Shareholder Benefit?
  7. I found the NEW Shareholder Benefit letter on the RCCL website. and am sharing here as it provides all of the details. I don't agree with the explanation I was given when my request was rejected since the included perks shouldn't be the reason it was rejected.
  8. I submitted a request for an upcoming cruise which was booked a year ago, expecting to be turned down, but thought it was worth a shot. It took a week for the denial to arrive. "Thank you for your email. As a valued shareholder, you are very important to us. The requested shareholder benefit onboard credit cannot be applied to reservation xxxxxxx as it is not combinable with the offer, GOBETTER BEVWIFI, listed on your reservation." It will be interesting to see whether the rejections continue for cruises booked after June 1 that also provide one or two perks as part of the fare. Since the rejection was not tied to a booking date, I am a little confused about the supposed change in policy. Is the granting of OBC going to depend on the knowledge (or lack thereof) of the staff person reviewing your submission??
  9. The local chamber of commerce or tourism bureau may also post discounts on their websites. The tourism bureau will frequently have information about special events on their website.
  10. I always call Captain’s Club Assistance phone number (844-418-6824) because of the website snafus. I am sure the pricing they can provide will reflect the real discount. We purchased the beverage package during a prior sale and did get 50% off the regular price. For the premium package, the cost per day was $34.50 plus 18% service charge. The purchase was made so,me time ago and I think the regular price has gone up so the price I paid is likely not the sale price now.
  11. The spreadsheet is found in post #1 on page 1 of this thread. I have not been able to get the filter to work so I just scroll down to the cabin I am interested in - and read the posts for the ship(s) and cabin (or neighboring cabins). I generally search the entire thread too since it is sometimes easier to do that and comments will mention cabins other than the one being reviewed.
  12. Any Mah Jongg players on Eclipse?? Hoping someone can answer this question about the sets that are available. Do they have jokers and can they be used for American Mah Jongg?
  13. ?? Are you looking for information about 1601 or trying to post information about this cabin?
  14. In July 2017, I booked a CC cabin on a repositioning cruise in March 2019 on Eclipse. At the time, resident fares were not available. In October 2018, resident rates were available so my TA got the fare adjusted for a savings of $100 pp. The resident fare dropped an additional $200 pp in December 2018. Rather than capture the savings, we upgraded to AQ. The end result was a fare that was $50 pp less than my original booking
