  1. There isn’t going to be another WC “After reviewing all of the feedback from the Ultimate World Cruise, the lessons we learned along the way, and the various options for our deployment, we have made the difficult decision not to offer another World Cruise in the near future. We anticipate that it may take us 3 to 4 years at minimum.” June 18th, 2025
  2. Expect multiple languages, expect multi generational families, expect children to be eating dinner at 10pm which is the European norm (if you are sailing in the Med); expect people boarding and disembarking at several ports as they Interport; expect visual entertainment rather than comedians to allow for the various languages, expect courteous service but they aren't trying to be your best friend in hope of the 10 score, no mentions or pleadings for 10s on the post survey card (not even sure there is one!), expect great coffee served with little chocolates, expect cabin service twice a day.... nothing bad. just different!
  3. I don't think this is an issue as you are making it out to be: 1. you take the warm bottle to the dining room - it is a generic bottle stocked on board - and you say can you swap this warm bottle for a cold bottle please. Problem solved. 2. you take the bottle to the dining room early. Ask them the put it in an icebucket next to your table and you will be back for dinner at xx pm. Problem solved.
  4. Who remembers RCIs 18n from Southampton round to Venice! Those were the days! @Mick B you had me checking out that Cunard itinerary! It's £4840 in total for a balcony so quite the deal. @DJLDRUMS yes have done many MSC - the new ships are fabulous - do not expect RCI. My HAL friends have just done one and were very pleasantly surprised. There is a status match - if Diamond you get a great free meal for two (their steak restaurant far exceeds Chops) and a bottle of bubbly in the room.
  5. Have done all Oasis class ships in the Med on that route, usually choose September when the cherubs are back at school. In Europe there is not the tendency to take children out so much which seems to be customary in the USA. Prices on Legend may also exclude too many kids as the fares are ridiculous! I'm on her 9/20.

  7. Yes they are now. They changed the rule. I was on the 3n Indie and people were getting it down their necks in true British style!!!
  8. No need for excursions in Lisbon or Vigo as you are docked right in town. In La Coruna recommend taking a trip to Santiago de compostella - there is a local company that does €35pp https://www.tours4cruisers.com/
  9. We all look at what is above or below, but in all my cruising history I’ve never thought to look at what is 2 decks below! I’ve got a d8 in that location starboard so I’ll see if I can hear the noise.
  10. If you’re sitting in the Champagne bar you can hear the music from Boleros below as the staircase is open. It ruins what should be the quiet ambiance of the Champagne bar.
  11. Boleros is on d4. Sound does not travel up 2 decks. OP was originally in a Prom cabin above Sorentos with the toilet issues. “The goods news is the toilet works but he's put us over Bolero's which is even noisier than the other Promensde room we had over Sorento's.”
  12. Agree the noise levels on Indie are ridiculous. The complaint went on our survey. Indie sails at full capacity out of England. I am slightly confused as Boleros is on d4 and there are no cabins on d5 so how are you above Boleros?
  13. On Indie in May I used the Suite lounge - I had not received the NPE email and my key worked so I figured I was allowed in! As was my non P roomie who is allowed (before anyone squeaks) as per their rules. We always found many seats available when we went for our pre dinner drink around 7pm.
  14. Disappointing to read of the lack of adult only space. I have already read that the seating area at the diving show is so uncomfortable with no back support. Hopefully they will rectify this on Legends.
  15. Agree. I think Legend should be Legends just to make it slightly different. The lovely old Legend should not be overwritten and erased from history.
  16. Swap the app to be the current 7n sailing to see the dress code of each day. in app click on head Upcoming cruises/ view All scroll down Don’t see your cruise; add it now Browse our ships select the same ship and this/next weeks sailing date
  17. Yes it is a chair with a high back that usually has 3 different positions. No they don’t go fully flat, but at least they (should) recline another few degrees
  18. On a site from last November, that cannot be named, there are many reports of it being in force in Ovation, Wonder, Symphony, Freedom etc so it isn’t just the Brits who are supposedly incapable of sitting in a reclining chair!!!

  20. Is this chair tying phenomenon only on Indy or on all ships?
  21. Credits were converted as follows: 1-4 - cruise credits x 7 plus 1 extra 1*7+1=8
  22. I was only on for a short cruise but any longer I would have got my scissors ✂️ out!
  23. Until Jan 1, 2003 it was 1 credit per cruise no matter the stateroom category or length of cruise. After Jan 1, 2003, an extra credit was given for cruises of 12 days or longer. After Jan 1, 2004, an extra credit was given for cruises in a JS or better. The conversion of credits to points was January 21, 2011
  24. Yes they are tied. This was my balcony chair 2 weeks ago. It is the wrong position to recline and the wrong position to sit and read a book and the wrong position to eat breakfast 🤦‍♀️
