  1. Sail Date: July 27th(?) 2020, Received refunds for all of the "extras" we cancelled in mid-March (gratuities, purchased OBC, coffee cards, water) yesterday, predated for June 25th. Still waiting for cruise fare and airfare. But at least I got my $7.08 back for water.
  2. Here's the official list of affected cruises https://www.princess.com/plan/impacted-and-cancelled-cruises/?cid=pr_social_socialorganic_TWITTER_engagement_brand_na_na_na&linkId=88077913

  4. You should see $100 OBC for that deposit.
  5. P&O just cancelled through July 31 as of this morning
  6. Hello all - we're scheduled (as of now, I know it's probably not going to happen, but...) for a July 25th cruise out of Southampton to Norway. We have Princess EZAir and, way back in November, we decided to do the early ticketing because it made me nervous that I couldn't pick my seat. We've had our flights changed by American Airlines a couple times since and now I saw they have no change fees for flights until September. Assuming that we're still going, can I change my flight online and not pay change fees? It still says "Change fees: $710.36" but if I look at the pricing breakdown, there is no change fee.
  7. Looks like the announcement was only to cancel Carnival through May 11. Princess is already there so I'm assuming nothing changed.
  8. So - our situation is this. 1) We are booked on a Norway Fjords 8-day cruise in July through an offer for a free oceanview room from Princess Casinos 2) We bumped up to a balcony and paid the upgrade fee 3) We have Princess EZAir but paid for early ticketing so we could pick seats If we were to cancel (we also have the Platinum insurance) does anyone know how that would settle? The ports/fees would be a direct refund. I think the $100 deposit would be credit. What would happen w/ EZAir/the balcony upgrade/the price of the insurance?
  9. Hi all - this will be our third sailing with Princess. We were on the Coral w/ a balcony through the Panama Canal, then an Oceanview room with floor to ceiling windows on the Grand last year. Next year, we'll be on the Crown. We really liked the location of our room on the Grand - it didn't have a balcony, but we were steps away from the deck so we could always go outside. We've tentatively picked L311 for a Norwegian Fjords cruise. Two questions: this is the last balcony on the Lido deck - does anyone have photos of what it looks like towards the stern? Also - is the balcony covered?
  10. Hi Azgrandmax3 - I'm actually in the same boat! (Well. The same situation. Different cruises.) We've never seen London before, so we're flying in 4 or 5 days ahead of time and we're staying at one of the Point A Hotels (https://www.pointahotels.com/). They seemed reasonable. Also, in case you didn't know, Princess offers a shuttle from London to Southampton the day of the cruise. It's something like $70 though.
  11. Free drinks, occasional snacks sent to your room, some "games" for money/free play, VIP/invited guest slot tournaments. The more you play during the cruise, the more stuff you will get. We also got a very nice engraved whiskey glass+rocks set that I was not prepared to pack for.
  12. I regret not taking more videos along with photos. A photo is a great memory but a video helps take you back to the occasion.
  13. I was the opposite way. I had an RX10 and sold it to buy a Canon EOS R because I wanted to be sure I was happy with the photos I took. I know the DSLR is bulky, but, if you're not going to go back to Alaska frequently, maybe rethink not bringing it. What DSLR do you have?
  14. I was in Alaska in May and would switch back and forth depending on the occasion. If you are moving quickly or if you are shooting something moving quickly, the extra fps could be nice to make it not as choppy.
  15. San Juan was actually one of the reasons we booked this cruise. We were there for 8 hours during a different cruise and fell in love with the island and wanted to spend some more time there.
