  1. Are these cruises always so expensive? Next summer balcony running about $7500 - $10000 with the various included options/ Reg Verandah/ Concierge Class/ Aqua Class. Seems so expensive. Are they cheaper if you book as soon as they come out?
  2. We don't have travel insurance either. Oh well it is my Birthday on the 3rd and I am determined to have a great trip. Yeah we had some gusts at 50 MPH here in Central Phoenix. I am sure you'll be fine and think of it as an adventure. We were on the Harmony in December, you and your family will love it. Safe Travels!
  3. If it makes you feel any better we are from Phoenix as well headed to FLL on Friday for a Saturday departure (hopefully) on the Equinox. Just stay alert and I am sure you guys will be fine, worse case scenario you are delayed leaving port 1-2 days and have to pay for a hotel extra days. Just go with the flow and watch the forecast. The only thing that would keep us from going is waking up on Friday to head to the airport and finding out Dorian is a cat 4 or 5 headed for a direct hit to southern Florida with an arrival day on Saturday. Do you have insurance?
  4. Getting a little more nervous now as they are predicting it will be a hurricane once it arrives in Florida on Saturday or Sunday. Anyone have experience with what happens? Delay? I doubt we'll be rerouted to Western Caribbean since the hurricane will be gone but I think we might have a delayed departure. Looks like we will most likely make it to Florida on Friday afternoon with no problem. Eek
  5. Hello Marie, We have not made a decision yet but when we do I'll let you know. Getting close now! :)
  6. I confirmed online that it is Crown Bay... Ugh it seems impossible to get near Havensight by 845-9am if we are scheduled to dock at at Crown Bay at 8am.
  7. Since we are the only ship in port on September 3rd. I believe we would be docking at Havensight. ? The address for the Catamaran is located at : 5304 Yacht Haven Grande, Suite 100, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands 00802, USVI
  8. Hey Everyone. We are wanting to book a private catamaran tour in St. Thomas for September 3rd. The Equinox docks at 8am, do you think it is possible to make it to the close by docks by 8:45 am for a 9am departure? Thanks for any insight!
  9. I have been waiting for them as well. They typically do one in the fall and once at the beginning of the year. I am hoping around black Friday. Keep an eye out and follow Celebrity on social media, they always announce it on Twitter first.
  10. We were on the last cruise to the med before the Reflection before the Trans - Atlantic in mid October of 2016. Sunny and warm for most of the cruise. Only towards the end we wore a jacket on two days and it rained one. It was a great cruise, water was still warm in Mykonos albeit windy. The water in Euphesus and Bodrum were as warm as the Caribbean. All sea days were spent by the pool with plenty of sun. In 2017 we were on the Reflection for the Trans-Atlantic and it was warm and sunny the whole way. Not one cool day and not one drop of rain. Maybe we have been lucky.
  11. On another note, does anyone know when the bookings open for the 2019 cruise?
  12. This is disappointing news. Was hoping for a newer ship like the Koningsdams again or the Nieuw Statendam. Any insight why both Atlantis (allure of the seas) and RSVP chose older ships for the 2019 cruises?
