Maybe not to you. 🤷🏻♀️ -
Woo Hoo... Pinnacle now equals Zenith on Celebrity
barbeyg replied to orville99's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Those exceptions don’t surprise me. I’m just glad to get some of the onboard “amenities” afforded Elite+, since it will be at least 3 - 4 years before we actually get to E+, points-wise. 🙂 -

Just checked our Celebrity account after getting the email. We already show as Elite+. 😁 Pleasant surprise. -

Canceled cruise with insurance and Royal Up upgrade
barbeyg replied to laumicmah's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Normally, cruise insurance covers actual cost of a booking. For example, if a cruise cost $5k, that is what is stated on the policy. If the cost of the booking increased thru a RU, which you bid on, not your TA, I believe you would probably have to request the TA to increase the insurance coverage on the booking. Sounds like this is one of those things that fall thru the cracks, unfortunately. We have annual insurance ourselves. I wouldn’t have thought about the adjustment in coverage either. 😕 I hope your mom has a full and swift recovery. -
Got mine within 15 minutes of watching. 😂

I would keep checking. Our dining didn’t populate until about 10 months out for cruises we have booked next January and February. Enjoy your cruise. We loved Odyssey. 🙂

I have seen similar (but not such a low price), and has been mentioned, usually that is for cabins where RCI chooses your cabin. There have been times that the category selected is gone by the time I click thru the process itself. There is no recourse if the category is already gone, even if the website hasn’t updated the pricing on the first screen.

We did embarkation day specialty dining lunch on Odyssey recently, so I know it can be booked. We booked in advance, when there was a sale. The lunches are less expensive than dinners, and at times, you can grab a nice sale.

Fractured leg on Beyond; Need Disembarkation Information

My mistake. And the rescuing a child from an alligator is an excellent response when people ask. 😁😂 Hope your recovery is a full and quick recovery. 🙂 -
Fractured leg on Beyond; Need Disembarkation Information

Marian @helen haywood, I just saw this for the first time! I’m so sorry this happened. While I understand why they have that “ledge” in the doorway, I’ve gotten stubbed toes myself there. Hoping your recovery goes very well! -
We had all colorfast items in the bag, mostly darks, besides my white tees. We did do some handwashing as well. Most of the items in our bag could be tossed out, worst case scenario. 😂 I am saving old nightgowns to toss out on longer cruises. Nothing sexy for my man to enjoy! 🤣 Practicality wins every time on longer cruises.

I guess we were fortunate. On Odyssey, we sent colorfast items, including a couple of white t-shirts, and they came back…white. 🤷🏻♀️🙂 Making a note not to send white items in the bag again. 😬

Cabanas on Coco Cay for Celebrity Cruises
barbeyg replied to ScottC4746's topic in Celebrity Cruises
There are lots of umbrellas around the chairs. When we book the Beach Club, we just find chairs with a large umbrella between those. We find the cabanas there to be pricey, ranging from $1500 to $5k. As other have mentioned, cabanas have dynamic pricing, so even on a cruise you book, those can vary from week to week. -
Those are everyday extras available for an upcharge. When there is a day that lobster, for instance, is on the scheduled menu, there is no upcharge. If you want to eat lobster every day, there would be an upcharge for the days it is not on the rotating menu.

Transatlantic or TransPacific-Spring or Fall
barbeyg replied to DbPA's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We are currently on the Odyssey TA. While we could have rougher seas ahead of us, the most we’ve had so far is 7 to 8 foot seas. Tomorrow is projected to be 5 to 6 foot seas. Yesterday, if we hadn’t known better we would have thought we weren’t moving, it was so smooth. People I’ve met who’ve done both spring and fall said the negative to spring is moving forward one hour multiple nights in a row (we did our first last night). Seas may be calmer than the fall. YMMV For the fall coming back to US, potentially rougher seas due to late tropical activity and fall cool fronts. But you gain an hour multiple nights. 🙂 We plan to do both. Multiple times hopefully. If you’re prone to sea sickness, you could potentially be just as sick in the Caribbean. -
If your password at RCI has suddenly stopped working…

Since Larry, Moe and Curley obviously work for them, maybe they forgot. 🙃 Or never thought it was important in the first place. -

My pleasure. 🙂 Someone mentioned here that they had to update because the “password formula” changed for them. I was thinking that possibly they are trying to beef the formula up. You would think if that was the case, they would just send a blast email, or even a line at the top of the app. Sure would be easier on everyone. -
