Our sailing out of port  Canaveral  tomorrow is going to Mexico instead of CoCoCay and the Bahamas. Ship is the Mariner 12/14-12/18. Fine with us we love sea days.

We booked a cruise and need help on insuring a short cruise. Am specifically interested in the medical aspect and a decent policy any of you experienced cruisers can recommend. Thanks in advance

For my September cruise to Alaska,  I'm flying Southwest to Seattle and staying in a hotel near the airport that I booked with points. The next day I'm going back to Seatac and taking the HAL transfer bus to Canada Place in Vancouver.  After the cruise I'm doing the same thing in reverse.  I'm saving over $1,000 by not flying directly to Vancouver and staying there overnight.  

These crazy long flights with soooo early or late departures make me rethink this Alaska cruise 🤔

What’s SeaTac? So If I get this right you are flying into Seattle day before, staying at a holland preferred hotel thus getting the transfers and making your way to sail out of Vancouver via SeaTac? Then reverse to get back home via Seattle?

We’ve chosen the konigsdam inside passage in September, this year with  the platinum insurance thru  the cruise line. Im wondering if we should book our hotel, air and transfers thru Holland and have peace of mind all will be covered under the insurance. Or try to wing it at possibly a lower fee? Help please. P.s. the flights home are 12+hours.

It seems so convenient, non stop. Other flights leave at 8pm arriving home the next day. Help!

Not in my eyes, if I am on a cruise, I don't want seen anyone with masks or people going crazy in isolation. This is a cruise for heaven's sake, most people get their annual flu shot and that should be sufficient.

Looks like flu is replacing the covid fears of last 2 years. 

Yes I’m sorrry to say, Covid is here. We’re just off a RCCL ship and my husband tested positive for Covid. I have cold like symptoms but testing negative. We too are fully vaccinated and boostered  to the max. Last one this October. Cruised last year on NS when pre cruise testing was mandatory as were wearing a mask at all times except when eating. That really took away from our cruise experience but we came home Covid free. I think we prefer the mask and pre cruise experience testing but that’s our opinion as we’re both sick now. Just off RCCL Excellent cruise but upset that there was no pre board covid testing. Is Holland still screening?

We used the off site parking area which really worked out for us. Long lines for peeps going back to port parking!

We’ve been away from RCCL for a few years and just off Indy of the Seas. Positives were the 5 drink vouchers for being D+, excellent food and service. Have been on Jewel years ago when she was newer and she’s a lovely ship but smaller than Niew Statendam. Sailed Niew Statendam and loved her. Excellent service, food and beautiful ship. Would go with Hollands NS. Whatever you choose, it’ll be great. Transatlantic are great. Loved Gibraltar.

Just found out son in law (born in NY) can’t find his birth certificate and passport is expired. Are there any other forms of proof that will be accepted to board?

I am thinking of going to Alaska and there is so much to consider. The first idea I believe is which ship. We’ve been on the Eurodam, Niew Statendam, and Niew Amsterdam. However we’ve not sailed the smaller ones and wonder if that would be better for Alaska. Could you all chime in on guiding us to the right ship? Thanks in advance!

Going through the security checkpoint we were flagged and asked what was in the carryon luggage.
