Cool Cruiser
1.
a JS you do not get access to the CL unless you have D/D+ status in C&A. you will get 2 cruise credits and priority boarding, plus a tub, but that is about it.....
We have the Diamond Status and we are booked in the Junior suite. So what perks can we expect in the concierge lounge?
2. We are cruising on the Mariner in January. It's our first time on the RC, we usually sail with Celebrity. What are the perks of the concierge lounge? We also booked a junior suite. What are the suite benefits besides the larger size?
3. We did the airport bus and wlaked two blocks to our hotel Apsis Atrium (opposite side from Las Ramblas). We had no problems. WE kept an eye on the luggage on the bus and during the walk. But noone tried anything. You should be fine.
4. We stayed at the Apsis Atrium for five days in December 2007 before our TA cruise. We loved everything about it and will stay there again when in Barcelona. The hotel is located two blocks from all the action in the best part of Barcelona and even with the room facing the front we didn't find it noisy once the windows were closed. We asked for a front room as we wanted to have a balcony and we enjoyed the view of the street. We pre-booked the breakfast ( a lot cheaper) and it was wonderful. Lots of choices, including capucchino, champagne and red wine (yes red wine for breakfast). We were glad to have breakfast at the hotel as there really isn't anything very close to the hotel open for breakfast. Also, the price was a lot cheaper than buying at other restaurants, unless you just want a coffee and pastry. The room was a good size, beds comfortable and they provide wonderful amenities, including bathrobes and sleepers. We didn't use the pool. The internet is free. We took the airporter bus to Placa Catalunia (spelling?) and walked with our luggage the two bloocks to the hotel. I would highly recommend it.

Rome FAQ

This is a great thread. Thank you all for the information. Does anyone have any suggestions for the most affordable and efficient transportation from the airport to a hotel in Rome centre. We will be there at the end of April, staying at the Lancelot Hotel. They can provide transportation for 50EU, but we are wondering if there is a more economical way.

Things to do in Barcelona!!

A side trip to Montserrat is a must. You can do it on your own or book a tour. We were there last December and did a tour with Viatour.

Heli and Extended Glacier Trek in Juneau

Thank you all for the information. We are interested in the longer trek. I have sent an email to North Star Trekking and just received a reply that the message was not delivered because their email box is full. I'll keep trying and I hope they'll read their emails soon.

Questions about which tour

Where do you them?
10. We have just booked this tour throught HA for May 23. Has anyone done it? Is snorkling good in Alaska? Is visibility good? Will the watter be very cold? Do any private companies offer this tour? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
11. We have just booked HA Amsterdam from Seattle on May 18 and one of the tours we are interested in is the Helicopter Flightseeing and Extended Glacier Trek. The tour is offered by HA for $499 per person and is supposed to last 5.5 hours. It's a lot of money and I want to be sure that it is worth it. Has anyone done it? They are also offering another one which is an hour shorter but doesn't seem to include any glacier climbing only hiking. Which one is better? Is the 5.5 hours very strenuous? We have never climbed before but have done a lot of hiking, including the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Also, does anyone know if these tours are offered privately? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

extra time in San Juan

 Does anyone have any suggestions what to do with the luggage at the end of the cruise if one would like to explore San Juan before heading to the airport?
13. Hi, We will have about half a day to tour San Juan before we fly home. Does anyone have any suggestions where we could safely leave our luggage? We were thinking of asking at the Sheraton hotel, but we're not sure they would allow it.

Warning - Mercury

I think it's very unfair to blame Celebrity for this problem. I have a feeling that you may be making a big fuss because you are maybe hoping for Celebrity to compensate you in some shape of form??? My husband and I did the 11 day Mexican Riviera cruise on the Mercury last November. We have nothing but praise for the way the ship personnel was taking care of everything. This virus appears in different locales and it's not the cruiselines fault. It sure sounds to me that they were doing everyhting in their power to deal with the problem. What we noticed on our cruse was that 50% of the passengers were not using the hand sanitizer dispensers placed at the begining of each food buffet line and many other places. So whose's fault is it then?
