Does anyone know if Ventura has had the union jack and blue funnel paint work done yet. I have noticed that Oceana has been done so they must be working on the fleet whilst in ports. We are sailing on her in June and it would be nice to see her with her new colours.

Ref tipping (sorry I know this is what the thread was not originally about), what did we all do before automatic gratuities? I know when we went our first cruise on Artemis it was all done by cash in envelopes and you tipped those who had helped you and made your holiday all the more special.

We are driving down from Norfolk so not as far as some people have to travel. We usually leave around 8am-ish, stop for a break somewhere about an hour from Southampton and usually arrive at the terminal just after 12pm. We are usually onboard after about an hour once we have been stacked in the car que and then checked in etc. So hopefully it'll work the same again this year.

Linda, the 'go green' button is in your cruise personalizer on the P&O website. I would only press it if you want to make your own pre cruise brochure as after that you will not get the usual one sent by P&O. I don't remember ever pressing it and haven't had a book for ages, might have to phone them now.

Our brochure and luggage labels arrived yesterday, so just under 5 weeks before travel. I do like getting pretty pictures sent to me by post - I am a simple minded creature!

 

Will keep the comments on luggage labels in mind in case I need them another time - Thank you all.

 

GirlyCruiser - I think you only have to click 'Go Green' once and you no longer get the brochures. I have also seen comments that anyone who books the last minute price (and poss other saver's) do not get a book by post - never booked a saver so cannot comment personally on that one.

Dai, yes def worth a call to P&O. Would be nice to have proper luggage labels for starters tho I am quite handy with a stapler & roll of wide tape!!

I don't think we've had a pre cruise book for at least the last 2 cruises we've done. I can't remember the last book we had & I never opt for the 'go green' on the CP, though I do fill in passports etc on there. We are going with 2 newbies this year so would be nice for them to have a pre cruise book.
