  1. Things that I like (love) about Princess (20+cruises with Princess):. We have previously cruised on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Oceania, Viking, Celebrity and Disney. Overall our best experience was on Oceania but we can take 2 cruises onPrincess for the one on Oceania. 1) Employees - Always helpful and very willing to help. 2) Comfortable beds. 3) Good Spirits Bar 4) Crooners Bar 5) Variety of choices for eating 6) Afternoon Teas 7) Sanctuary 9) Fellow cruisers - generally in older range 10) Room stewards 11) Itineraries 12) Plus and Premier packages 13) Medalion App Things I don't like (no real deal breakers) 1) Art auctions 2) Pushy spa promotions 3) Piazza noise - way too loud 4) Soap in staterooms 5) Hair products in stateroom 6) Hair dryers in staterooms
  2. The one time I tried to download a book on my Kindle while outside the U.S. Kindle had an additional charge for downloading out of the U.S. That was more than 4 years ago so it may have changed since then. Best thing is to download before leaving home.
  3. You may want to check out the full suites especially if they include the 3rd and 4th free. The suites are way less expensive on the Regal out of Galveston. I booked a full suite with 4 people and total cost was under $8,000 and that included Princess Plus for all 4. I went through the big box company and will also get a 465 gift card from them.
  4. Formal wear is not required in the MDR. You can choose to dress up or not. Very few people wear shorts and I have seen them denied admittance, but I have also seen them allowed in. If you want to dress up that's up to you. My husband generally wears a nice pair of pants and a collared shirt. I rarely wear a dress. I usually wear pants or capris with a nice blouse. . It makes for a much lighter suitcase.
  5. If you haven't sailed on Princess in 10 years how can you give an accurate description of the entertainment, room accommodations and overall on board experience?
  6. Below information is contained in your trip travel summary. If you encounter unforeseen flight or weather-related delays while en route to the port of embarkment, you'll need to advise accordingly: If you have booked EZAir, please contact the Princess En Route Desk for assistance with rebooking options. If you have made independent flight arrangements and have not booked Princess Vacation Protection, please contact the Princess En Route Desk so they can inform the ship of your delays. Princess En Route Desk Contact Info: Within the U.S. or Canada, please call 1-800-545-0008. Outside of the U.S. or Canada, please call 1-661-284-4410. Within Australia, please call 13 24 88.
  7. I'm on a B2B2B on Enchanted in 5 weeks. The new app shows Plus for first segment - our Travel Document shows Premier. Second segment nothing showing - we chose plus. Third segment we chose Premium and nothing shows. Again Travel Documents are correct on all three segments.
  8. What's the approximate cost of an Uber from Port Canaveral to Airport?
  9. Total time off the ship can vary. I've had to wait as long as three hours. Generally, about 1 hour. and yes, you must get off the ship. You can stay in the terminal. They usually have excursions available if you don't want to wait. They will also give you a transfer ticket should you chose to leave the ship and go out and about in Fort Lauderdale. Quite a few restaurants and a Walgreens close to the terminal.
  10. Ships have been sailing almost at capacity in the Caribbean. Hopefully, 2 months would be plenty of time to get better. Good luck with your surgery.
  11. I'm sorry my palette is not up to yours. Sometimes after being on the ship for a while the food is so rich I just crave a "such things." If you've never had it on board ship then you really do need to try it. If you don't like you can always get something else. Happy sailing.
  12. I don't know if this is true but I've heard that they are somehow able to determine your temperature when you are in the terminal. This happened to me when I was in Europe in October while on an Oceania cruise.
  13. If you're entitled to get a mini bar setup in your cabin will it be done after getting to international waters?
  14. Any chance that you could save this file in a PDF format?
  15. I would go ahead and do the OV if it was only 65 per person.
  16. I just completed the on line app. I skipped through most of the input until it asked for the investment company information. It then brought me to the logon for my WF account and I logged in via the WF app which connected with the Plaid account. I was able to limit the information on my WF account to the investment only information. One thing that I could not do was requesting stockholder credit for cruises which begin after July 31, 2024. Not sure if this is because they are no longer going to give s/h credit or if they don't want to approve this early in the event you sell your stock between now and then. I really wish Princess had given us a bit more information as to how this works and what if any privacy concerns that may come up. Not sure what the problem was with the old way it was done.
  17. I thought it was only on two ships - Discovery and Enchanted.
  18. If you have either of the two packages (plus and premium) you can order drinks in your room. Just a thought.
  19. You can go to casino and charge to your room. Then no ATM fees. Up to 1,000 a day.
  20. I just returned home from an Oceania cruise from Monte Carlo to Venice. I contracted covid and was quarantined for 5 days. I received the Paxlovid and was visited in my cabin at least two times a day by a nurse who took my blood pressure and temperature and made sure everything was ok. They really took care of me. My total bill for testing, visit and medicine was &1850 which I thought was very reasonable. If I were to contract Covid again I would definitely choose to do it on a ship. The hotel management called several times during my quarantine, they cancelled all my excursions for me, and I could order food from any of their venues.
  21. My cruise this past February I was upgraded to an obstructed view balcony on Emeral Deck from an interior on Lido. I was on a B2B2B and it was the second part and didn't get notified until on the ship the week before. View was not really obstructed as it was in between the lifeboats.
  22. I'm a Christian and still enjoy alcoholic drinks. I didn't realize I couldn't have both.
