  1. I have stayed away from suites on Carnival just because the lack of perks. That being said, my wife and I got a smoking deal to repeat our honeymoon for our 15 year anniversary at $25pd/pp for an ocean view. Then 1 week before the cruise (leaves this monday) , we got the "wanna upgrade" call and took it. After upgrade we are now paying $75pd/pp and will see if we don't again (barring that kind of deal).

  2. In March my wife and I took my Father in law on the Carnival Pride. One night all three of us went to the "adult" comedy show. The comedian starts out by saying that the show is pretty raunchy and that daughters may not want to be sitting next to their fathers. The first part of the show was funny but nothing bad or raunchy. He then starts talking about finding the G spot and does a bit (which I am not going to repeat) which did make for an odd moment with me sitting between DW and her dad. To make things worse, a very intoxicated young lady a few rows in front of us decides that the comedian has his facts wrong and starts to heckle him. He took acception and said if she knows so much maybe she would like to go up on stage and demonstrate for everyone. Well she storms the stage, grabs his mic and starts a sex ed class with demonstration (not as bad as it sounds but I wouldnt have wanted kids there). The comedian jumps down and takes a seat in the front row until one of the social hosts showed up and put an end to it.

  3. You'll just have to watch and find out

    Balcony club!

We had Main deck on the Pride cabins 4232 and 4230. There is more overhang than the other decks and we would have to literally lean out to even try to see if anyone was on the balcony above us. Because its more covered, the dividers are not as angled giving a little bit more privacy.

That being said, its still a balcony. Great to have, but its an open space and anyone that thinks any balcony is going to be 100% private may be giving a show and not knowing it.

  4. On our first cruise, the day before debarkation the cruise director comes over the PA system. He said "As you all know, it is not legal for US citizens to bring cuban cigars off the ship. So tomorow morning we will be having a smoke-out up by the smokestack. For you Canadians, Canada does not forbid cuban cigars, HOWEVER, being we are debarking into a U.S. port, we look forward to you joining us tomorow morning by the smokestack." This got a chuckle from everyone around us, but a few hours later, there was a passenger trying to re-sell the excess that he had bought. Still wonder if he was Canadian.
