  1. I don't remember where or for which cruiseline I read this but another family went through this same thing (probably a lot of people have) and they had to submit a copy of the results to the cruiseline and then was able to rebook for a later sailing. Hopefully someone with more information will respond.
  2. For anyone who is interested I was not able to get my booster shot until September 29 and we boarded the Mardi Gras on October 9 no problem..
  3. We are boarding Saturday too and we also received the email. We were discussing this on our Facebook group and someone doing a b2b said that happened last week and the Health assessment showed up the next day. We will see.
  4. Is that for the entire extended balcony area? My cabin is 11386
  5. Honestly I wouldn't depend on Carnival. I would keep checking the Bermuda's website with travel info, I would join the cruise critic roll call and Facebook roll call for my sailing. People normally share information on those sites. I would also stalk John Heald on facebook. He normally announces new things and protocols. You will have to be proactive and hope you don't miss anything. Just my suggestion.
  6. I'm sorry, I quoted the wrong one. Yes you will need to cancel and re-bid with the correct card.
  7. I thought of doing that but I wondered why they stopped the excursions. There must be a reason and if I knew that reason would I still want to go?
  8. That's my thought. Something must have happened for them to do something so drastic.
  9. I didn't see Flight listed. Are they not doing that show? I also didn't see the Love and Marriage show.
  10. I’m getting my cruises confused. The one that was canceled was for our symphony cruise in November.
  11. I was wondering the same thing. I am going on Carnival Mardi Gras on Oct 9 and I received the email today that they canceled our excursion there. I wonder what happened.
  12. I asked the question on John Heald’s Facebook page and this is the reply I received. So I think it will be fine.
  13. Yes, you have to have had the Pfizer vaccine. No, not just by age but by occupation also. I fall under Education Staff. This is what the CDC website says: Occupations at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission include front line essential workers and health care workers as previously detailed by the CDC* First responders (healthcare workers, firefighters, police, congregate care staff) Education staff (teachers, support staff, daycare workers) Food and agriculture workers Manufacturing workers Corrections workers U.S. Postal Service workers Public transit workers Grocery store workers
  14. I found this online: “We found that 7–13 days after the booster shot there is a 48–68 percent reduction in the odds of testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 infection, and that 14–20 days after the booster the marginal effectiveness increases to 70–84 percent,” the researchers from Maccabi Healthcare Services reported.Sep 8, 2021
  15. I just talked to carnival and they said they only look at the first two shots. The booster won't even be considered. So great news!
  16. Can you come back and let us know how it went?
  17. I wonder if I could "forget" my card. That actually happened to me when I went to get my second shot, I literally forgot the card and they gave me another one. So I have a card with my first shot and a card with my second shot. So, if I "forget" the card maybe they will give me a third and I can leave that one at home? It might work.
  18. I think they add it to your card. I could be wrong.
  19. I saw quite a few youtube videos of the Ocean View Suite but none had the pullman down. You could see it in the ceiling in some videos but it wasn't down.
  20. I was thinking about getting my booster shot today as extra protection. My cruise is on October 9. It is my third shot but it won't be 14 days between the shot and the cruise. Will I have a problem? I will call and confirm with carnival once they open. Do you think it will give me a positive reading when I take my covid test 2 days before? I am worried that I will be creating a problem for myself but would love the extra protection the booster would give. Does anyone have any experience with this?
  21. I actually sent an email to the royal up email asking these questions. I haven't received an answer, probably won't. We had the same situation. I have a Central Park balcony and my mother has an oceanview balcony. My royal up email said my minimum bid for the JS was $200 my mothers was $175. A junior suite was the max that I could bid on. My mother was able to bid on all of the suites. Go figure? I don't understand it. There must be some sort of process or something.
