  1. Thai will work IF the spice caliber is done correctly. Wine will work IF the availability of selections is done correctly. Vegan will be empty (like Margaritaville) and will eventually be removed and replaced with something else (like Margaritaville).
  2. That's not mistreatment of Bella and Fantastica guests. It's elevated treatment of Aurea and Yacht Club guests. If someone is walking through the desert and I hand them a cold 16.9oz bottle of Dasani water, that person shouldn't feel mistreated if I hand a Yacht Club guest a cold 1L bottle of Acqua Panna water.
  3. The were (temporarily) in 15002 on World Europa.

  5. You'll have to do the "off then back on" dance.
  6. I've never been on a cruise ship that had only one fat kid or only one fat adult. Typically, cruisers are more overweight than the general population. However, any cruise ship will have smaller stateroom accommodations than the usual land hotel. If the 5 of you are sharing a room, it will be tight no matter what size the people are.
  7. We always get one but we're a family of 4. Some people feel that they aren't worth it. It's up to you. Would your spouse enjoy the jet skis?
  8. There were 2 status extensions by MSC during Covid. Depending on when the original status was going to expire, some people got longer extensions than others.
  9. Knowing that MSC doesn't really try to do "typical Southern comfort food" that many cruisers want will explain some of the complaints. I read one complaint from someone who wasn't familiar with gelato and wanted ice cream. Because it was "different", the reviewer wasn't happy. Staff might not be the "bubbly woo-hoo" type but I've never encountered rudeness. Some reviewers think that not getting their way equals rude staff members. Plenty of people in Bella interior staterooms have great MSC cruises. Sure, Yacht Club and Aurea guests get more but that doesn't mean that Bella and Fantastica guests are mistreated or have sub-standard experiences (no pun intended).
  10. The location for "outside of the complex" can vary by ship. You can determine if the distance will be an issue. Also, balcony size (especially on Breakaway/Getaway) can be an issue. Yes, but the courtyard can be cramped (varies by ship). Getaway's Haven doesn't have a retractable roof over the courtyard but the upper and lower levels have space and loungers. Yes (in the lounge next to the courtyard), but getting a seat at the bar can be difficult since there aren't many seats. It's probably better to get your drink to go and sit in the lounge (more comfortable seats), anyway. Butlers rotate their assigned areas so you might get a great butler or you might get a mediocre butler. Other than intoxicated empty nesters, not really. 😁 Yes. Prepare a list and give it to the concierge on embarkation day. You can also make your own reservations before embarkation day, if you want.
  11. What would you like to know? Which Haven stateroom category are you looking to book? Which MSC ship were you on and which Yacht Club category did you book? Some things, Yacht Club does better. Some things, Haven does better. ...more info needed...
  12. Bliss has 80 Haven suites so at 100% capacity, it would be 160 people. More than likely, it will be more people than that.
  13. For example, 100 Haven staterooms at 100% capacity would be 200 people. Those same 100 staterooms at 108% capacity would be 216 people. I don't know what the actual average percentage is but if you know the number of Haven staterooms on your ship, multiply that by at least 2 to get a base number.
  14. Probably more fun than Robotron but I'd rather try a World Class zipline.
  15. To be fair, Europa 2 (1792 points) and Europa (1766 points) could probably both fit inside of World Europa (1490 points). 😁
  16. I posted years ago that NCL needed to join the +200GT club and so many people on the forum disagreed with me. Personally, I look forward to the larger ships....as long as there is a Haven, Yacht Club, Retreat, or Suite Neighborhood to go along with them.
  17. It looks like we've stumbled onto something... The link that you have (Grandiosa's Technical Sheet) is different from the link that I have (MSC Grandiosa) Page 5 on one sheet has "95 SUITES WITH BUTLER SERVICE" vs. page 7 on the other sheet which has "103 SUITES WITH BUTLER SERVICE". The earlier sheet doesn't count the Duplex Suites on decks 9 & 12 which were originally Aurea on Meraviglia but were later upgraded to Yacht Club suites.
  18. It's easier to separate the larger ships (Seaside EVO, Meraviglia Plus class) from the similar/smaller ships (Seaside/Meraviglia class). Also, Grandiosa is a Plus ship (103).
  19. It wouldn't be MSC if there wasn't some consistent inconsistency. I only do it to help others get what's best for them as far as DGS options. With the World Class, MSC found a way to make that confusing with 2 configurations for RS and 2 configurations for OS. Just for fun, the balcony size is also different for the configurations. ðŸĪŠ
  20. There's also wide with walk-in closet. 😉 Some DGS sleep 4 and some sleep 5. 19002 is also one of a kind. I'll get it done, eventually.
  21. I don't have a good photo/video of 19024 but this video shows where the walk-in would be (next to the mirror). If you could give actual proof with a photo or video, I'd appreciate it.
  22. I'm giving them 2 extra months to iron out the wrinkles before I'm in the terminal and on the ship.
  23. I've been on Seashore a couple of times (even as recently as a few months ago) and I've never had a problem with the service (on any MSC cruise ship). While on the sundeck, butlers will carry food and/or drinks for us back to our cabana/pergola without us having to ask. Servers will even approach me while I'm in the pool or hot tub and ask if I'd like another of whatever I'm drinking. Butler escort to a show? No problem. Butler escort to the front of the line at a port of call? No problem. Special requests? No problem. One thing that I have noticed on some reviews (particularly Seashore's recent ones) is that the short 3-4 night cruises aren't as impressive as the regular 7 night cruises. Maybe some other forum members who have done both can give their view. I've also done some Haven cruises on NCL and I've done the compare/contrast with those 2. Some areas favor Haven, some favor Yacht Club. I enjoy both so there is no "loser" between them. Thanks for the review. If you ever decide to give Yacht Club another chance, feel free to ask any questions that would help to make for a better experience.
