There were some reviews i was able to find. I have a Tour booked with Fertours on my 3/30 sailing. I sent him an email telling him what my group was interested in doing, and he said that he could make that happen. I think he has base tours set up but will change the itinerary based on your interests. He then told me to book the "shipwrecked in Havana" tour on his site with my name in the notes section so he could place our requests with that booking. He responded daily and was veery easy to communicate with.

agreed^ Those specialty shooters are not included with cheers because they come with the "souvenir shot glass" anything you order from the bar while at dinner will be included.

I have paid for a couple of cruises with casino winnings. My cruise to Alaska it seemed I could not lose. Won 1000.00 on slots, 2200.000 at the craps table, and an Ipadwith 500.00 cash from the stupid key machine.
When I won on the key machine I was famous for the rest of the cruise.. LOL.
These days are overs as I wont play in a Princess casino now.
those dang key machines. Ive seen people win at just about everything in a casino besides the key machine. One girl put a $20 in the cash claw and brought up 3 stacks of $100. Guess i don't have the skills for that

yeah, thats what Royal has told me. I've called at least once a day for the past 2 weeks with no luck, beginning to feel like I'm just bugging them. I've actually gotten a familiar agent a couple times that are recognizing my voice now. All have been very nice and just recommend me continuing to call daily until 2 days prior to sailing when they submit their guest lists.

Have some friends getting married on an upcoming sailing and my wife and I would really like to go. Ship has been 100% full for past several weeks i have been calling and checking website daily. Anyone ever been in this type of situation? What are the chances of a cancellation happening with only 20 days until sailing?

as a bourbon drinker, i think most of us will stay away from the fireball. haha I can't help with the preordering of any bottles, but i can lead some assistance as to what they usually stock on board. Up until recently carnival has stocked Jim Beam White label, Makers, Woodford, and Duke Small Batch at all bar locations. in 2017, they have switched out Makers for Buffalo Trace. While i love Buffalo Trace, they should of discontinued carrying Duke instead of one of the most heavily sold bourbons made .(Just my opinion, I'm not impressed with Duke) One lesser known fact is that you can find Bookers in the Alchemy Bar on most ships . Its not advertised but ask away! Some of the steakhouse bars will also stock Bookers. Cheers!

i have a similar issue. I had ordered chocolate covered strawberries to the room as we were sailing for my wife birthday. They were not there when we arrived. I just thought no biggie they will come later or tomorrow. They never came. It was only a 4 day cruise and now its day 3, i sneak off to the "casino" to check on whats going on, they tell me they ran out of strawberries and they didn't want to tell me just in case they picked more up from the port. So that was their excuse for not delivering and not notifying me of what was going on. I cancelled the order and they gave me the refund in the form of a sign and sail credit since the funshop order was on my credit card an was placed prior to sailing. Thats my only negative experience with the fun shops, as i have ordered since then and have no issues.

just made this decision for my may 18th sailing on the Triumph. We chose Nachi Cocom mainly because the cap of 130 people and with 3 ships in port the same day as us i know Mr Sanchos will be packed. I have never been but i hear the service and food is fantastic at Nachi.

i have a question for you cruisemein, I'm sailing out of NOLA in a couple weeks, I have received the DOU card throughout a cruise before but never to start out. Is that a promotion that you were eligible for prior to sailing? Thanks

From my experience most bars will have the same selection as mentioned a couple replies ago. What i was able to personally figure out a a bourbon drinker that the Alchemy Bar had Bookers where as that was unable to be ordered anywhere else on the ship besides the steakhouse. I'll drink scotch from time to time but never got into Cognac. Hope this helps

For the bourbon drinkers, the Alchemy bar also has some bourbon that isn't anywhere else on the ship. My experience is that they have carried Bookers on the past two ships with an Alchemy bar. Most of the old fashioned and manhattan drinks will be made with the Makers Mark or Woodford Reserve, while at the Alchemy you have the option of a more premium pour. And of course with the CHEERS package, there is no uncharge

absolutely, you will still sign a receipt after each drink and it has the option to add a gratuity and then the new total. I have found on the pool deck leaving a tip each time ensures they will come back often. It goes the same at busier bars like the lobby bar or even the night club, i genuinely believe the bartenders remember the faces who tie and generally give quicker service.

I have had the CHEERS on the past several cruises, while i have never asked for an unopened beer, i have never had an issue getting an unopened soda if i asked for it. As i think about it, the domestic beers come in the 16oz aluminum can and have the resealable lid. He could probably just ask for the lid and be able to drink it later anyway(assuming its not too much later) not sure how long it would reseal and still taste good. I don't believe they would give you a glass bottle unopened as they don't want to risk broken glass anywhere on the deck.

Grand Turk Margaritaville should be pretty crazy during spring break. It can get wild anytime during the year
-
the Magic had the bbq menu and everything on it was fantastic. Only downfall is that it was only open for a couple hours on sea days only

katiecharlotte thanks for your reply, we have another thread on this same subject and just about the same response was given. Thats a good sign that there will be a few places to be able to catch the game. Myself along with 6 other guys will be onboard this same cruise for a bachelor party and will for sure want to catch the game! 10 days!

i'm not 100% positive on this answer but i believe you would have to wait 5 minutes also even for gatorades, vitamin water, etc. i think thats just the CHEERS purchasing system and not just true for alcohol.

i have rented scooters numerous times from all different ports. The person above me is absolutely correct, be VERY cautious of other drivers in the congested areas. They drive very fast and trust themselves to fit in tight areas. Once on the open roads scooters are awesome, you are able to pull over at any beach or park and enjoy. even take a swim and you will air dry pretty quick while driving. Grand Turk is an excellent place to scooter around the island. Nassau and Freeport can be fun also, just be careful, also when you return the scooters be prepared to be asked for a tip. They always say that the boss doesn't pay them and they only get tips for compensation.

When is it cheapest to purchase the cheers package, before you board, on the ship, or on the ship once out to sea?
Sent from my iPad using Forums
Before you board it's a tad cheaper per day($5 I believe per day)
-
Also a point to think about, CHEERS includes specialty coffees, sodas, bottled water, Gatorade. If you usually purchase any of these items that will improve the break even point
-
to add to this, some beers when ordered in a bucked have to come in plastic cups. Only the beer served in non glass containers can be on the pool deck. For example you can get a bucket of Dos Equis(spelling) but they pour all 4 beers in plastic cups before they bring them to you. They get warm pretty quick even with an ice bucket.

the $2 discount is correct. The larger Beers i see a lot of people drinking is Fosters. While I've never drank them, I recall a few guests saying it was the better value in the large cans. Haven't done the math myself

Hello, i'm looking for a fellow bourbon drinker who could possibly answer a question. I know the bars on all ships carry makers and woodford, and the alchemy bar has bookers. My question is whether the smaller ships without the alchemy bar would serve bookers. anyone know for sure? specifically on the Elation
