Neither of us use the slippers as they are too thin and have no support.
unless I missed something, the OP wanted to know if they were available ..
nothing more

wow!
over 700 posts
more than 24,000 "hits"
my first thought when I read the numbers was "HAL cancelled world cruise, eliminated smoking, turned the MDR into a buffet and eliminated turn down service"
then I read the title!
you can't bring a tractor trailer to the port and load on your own wine!
Holy Napa Valley!!
sure this will keep Seattle up all night ..
now, if Elliott Avenue eliminated drinking, that would be one thing
but to require a passenger can only bring 2 bottles per couple on board ..
c'mon
IMHO, its really enough
now to get back something of health .. when will HAL get rid of smoking:D

Doesn't surprise me.
HAL "Management" has a way of doing things to tick off their best and brightest that drives them to seek employment elsewhere...
James Deering - Gone to Princess
Cory Simon - Gone to RCI
Who else?
IMHO, you're way off base on this one Brian
Susan was far from the "best and brightest" .. she was far from a favorite with the crew .. as for Pax, she had a "following" ..
IMO (not humble this time), her smile was "more pasted than genuine"
Susan was not fired .. she left .. temper tantrum again
as for James Deering, in case you missed it, he's no longer with Princess ..
when HAL is wrong, I'll be among the 1st to say so
but in this instance, HAL did nothing other than maybe "not give into snits"

She didn't have to go home' date=' she quit and walked off the ship. Apparently was too above the Sports of Call activities according to some of her staff.
.[/quote']
exactly
Susan had another "snit" and basically "jumped ship" in Edinborough
but to make matters worse, she walked off (literally) in the middle of the Cruise of the Vikings .. that threw the entertainment staff upside down .. in fact, Moira Miller who was part of the staff, took over as CD and did a solid job for the rest of the cruise
Susan may have her following among Pax
but, she doesn't have many "fans" with the crew
if history means anything, she will probably make a comeback in the industry
hopefully, not on HAL

OK, OK.... what was I thinking? leaving out Capt Morgan.. a cola's best friend
IMHO, michmike's comment makes more sense than most, if not all, the other posts in the thread
I can only imagine the reaction of captains, all of whom by the way are extremely competent, to a rating or popularity chart
how bout a new thread ranking Chief officers, engineers dining room managers, hotel managers and last but not least cruise directors:rolleyes:
sorry: just don't think ranking of captains is necessary or even healthy

congratulations! you're in luck:D
Maasdam does indeed have blackjack tables along with craps, roulette and carribean poker .. and of course, rows of slot machines
the casino IMO is actually very nice: moderate size (considering the ship carries only 1,200 pax) and features its very own bar with small tv screens showing sports .. there is also bar service available at the machines or tables
you should be aware that the casino also allows smoking
hope you enjoy:)
Carnival Corp: Ticket contract "makes absolutely no guarantee for safe passage"
in Holland America Line
Posted
interesting questions
but, don't leave out trains!!!!!! bad off the rail accident in New York not that long ago
I am not a legal expert BUT .. isn't safe passage implied when anyone books a cruise or purchases an airline ticket..
last time I looked, HAL was in the "vacation business" .. maybe that's why every HAL ship has a Lido ..
IMO, the OP may have over-reacted just a bit
finally, I've never read the contract part of a ticket .. which may explain why I can still sleep at night:eek:
