  1. We have a river cruise, Tulips and Windmills, on Viking in April. We are thinking of cancelling the trip. Does anyone know Vikings refund policy on river cruises? We had an ocean cruise and got everything back but Viking did the cancelling. We are at final payment and need to make a decision. Thanks for your help-.
  2. The $1000 deposit credit came through today. I was impressed with how quickly the money was returned. Now I have my fingers crossed for our river cruise in April!
  3. Our December cruise was cancelled and we called and chose to take the cash refund. Very promptly we received a notice from American Express with a refund from Viking. However, it is $1000 short. This was the amount of our initial deposit. Has anyone else gotten their refund in two payments? I don't know if I should wait on this or call immediately. Thanks.
  4. Oops. Found the correct phone number, 1-833-900-0951, and handled it with a rep. She quoted 21 days to return to our credit card. We'll see (our cruise was not being offered in 2021)
  5. I myust be missing something in the original letter that I received today. We want the cash back, not the voucher. I cannot find any button to push that will get me to a page that will facilitate that. It acts as though there is something in the original letter that should do that. Can someone please tell me what I am missing? (I tried calling and was told that if not sailing in the next 90 days to hang up. Okay, but you need to cancel by Aug. 24. Won't work.) Thanks
  6. Many thanks. That's the letter I couldn't find.
  7. Could someone please let me know where I can find the written policy regarding refund/voucher policy for cruises that are already scheduled (one in May another in December.) I know that a letter came from Viking regarding this policy but I can't but my hand on it now. Please help!
  8. When we did TA San Juan to Barcelona, one of the lecturers was an astronomer. We had a wonderful evening on the top deck where he pointed out starts and constellations.
  9. There are usually a few more lectures as well as a movie in the afternoon. Those were the days that we had big trivia games too.
  10. We were on this cruise the first week of March in 2019. Due to weather, we skipped Bodo and had an extra sea day. You may not get many responses because I believe that Bodo had to be skipped on over half of the Northern Lights cruises last winter season.
  11. We are also on the Lisbon-Miami cruise in 2020. Our first transatlantic was from San Juan to Barcelona. It was amazing! You don't have time to get bored unless you WANT to be bored! I had fun with the cooking class as well as the tours mentioned above. We even had a sewing activity where we learned some of the stitches used in the Bayeux Tapestry. Prepare for a relaxing trip.
  12. My husband and I were on the March 2-14 Northern Lights cruise on the Sky. We've followed the stories of the problems and rescue of the passengers and crew of the next cruise. Because we were doing this cruise, I began following several other roll calls to get ideas and share information with others, especially since this was the first year for this route. The way Viking has handled the aftermath is really impressive. I wanted to start this thread because what passengers are posting on the March 14 roll call makes me love Viking even more. The reimbursement of passengers has been total an
