  1. Thanks. I just got the upgrade offer and I could not find any info on this suite for the Jewel. The floorplan mskes it look like ther's a hot tub on the balcony, but I can't find anything confirming this. EDIT: I did find some info for the GEM on these suites, and they do (at least on the GEM) have hot tubs on the balcony. One reviewer complained that they drained it after each use, and you needed to inform them when you wanted it refilled. Others didn't mention this. I imagine it slops all over the balcony in rough seas.
  2. About 30 days in the North Pacific from Pearl Harbor. On a nuclear submarine. All sea days. No drink plan. No drinks. No fun. 😉
  3. Booked Vancouver-Hawaii 11-day for 20th anniversary. This will be my first NCL cruise as well. I was looking for this exact info. Thanks for starting the thread! We have done CCL & RCCL before. So, to summarize the main differences: 1) No formal night (good! I like dressing up, but hate packing a suit, shoes, etc) 2) No set dining times 3) No carry-on beverages 4) May have to pay for shows 5) Need to make reservations for shows Do you mean you can get two drinks with one card? That would be nice. Slight annoyance to get the SO's card to get us both drinks. Also like the no-sign policy. RCCL cruise three years ago - still had to sign. Just cruised same ship last month - never had to sign.
  4. I booked a Cloud 9 suite on the Splendor for an anniversary trip back in 2013. I really liked the spa access. So much so that I actively sought a spa ship for our anniversary trip coming up in October. Going on the Dream this time!
