Thanks to the people who responded to my question about some of the Iceland excursions. I have booked Lake Myvatn, Hot-Springs & Godafoss Waterfall Tour and the Golden Circle from 3rd party tour companies for about half of the Viking price. Also, I just noticed that they have the excursion prices now listed on the MVJ web site, but reservations are still not open for us at this time. Two of the excursions I would have liked are Vigur Island and Skalanes Nature and Heritage Center both of which are either sold out or not available through a 3rd party. If anyone has any leads for these two, please let me know. TIA

We are going on the Iceland's Majestic Landscapes cruise in July and I was wondering if anyone has done the "Taste of Norway" optional excursion in Geiranger, Norway. How did you like it, what was the cost and was it worth it?

Does anyone have experience with the go city pass for Barcelona? It looks like a good deal for seeing multiple signts on your own. https://gocity.com/.../en-us/products/explorer/attractions

We were booked on that same cruise last September and cancelled for several reasons. There is a direct train from Barcelona to Tarragona that takes from 30 min to 1 hr and costs as little as $8/person. We always travel light, so a train is no problem for us. But you said you had a lot of baggage....hence renting a private car.

Our Iconic Adriatic Antiquities cruise in October starts in Venice. Since we are doing Venice on our own 3 days prior to embarkation, we may skip the Viking excursions and just enjoy the on-board amenities for the first day and a half. Embarkation at the cruise terminal in Venice and then the bus ride to the ship will be enough for us after having been in Venice proper for 3 days.
