  1. It’s 20% of the delivery fee, so basically $2.
  2. It is likely to seem cold to you, though the temperature is pretty consistent inside the ships across the entire fleet.
  3. That is no longer accurate the price does not include the 20% gratuity according to the information currently on NCL.com
  4. Or walk down the steps. Views are incredible.
  5. Uber has an estimator in their app. Suggest checking there with you details.
  6. We rented gear at Dolly’s in Ketchikan and fished from the bridge with a bunch of locals. Lots of fish in the water but nothing biting. A license is required and can be bought on line. As a note I have read that the guy who was renting gear is no longer doing it.
  7. That has never worked with the platinum discount. Good luck!
  8. Did you check flights out of TYS? you will have more options than out of TRI.
  9. NCL’s clearly stated policy is that balcony dividers cannot be opened. Don’t put your steward in a bad position by asking and forcing him/her to tell you no.
  10. It’s really very simple. Possession of them is not allowed on a cruise ship. Are you willing to risk the penalties that you may incur if you are caught?
  11. NCL says 30 days before sailing. Reports are that international flight info is provided earlier than that, and that domestic info appears between 45 and 30 days prior to sailing. YMMV
  12. IMO customs spends a little more time with the bc/id people than the people with passports. Also it seems every states bc and ids are different so the agents have to spend a little bit longer looking for info. With a passport they know exactly where the info they want to see is located. Could be wrong, but that is what I think.
  13. Sounds like you are in E. Tenn and want to drive to your airport of origin. In March you are going to have to stop one or two times so find the best connections and enjoy your trip. Do t over think it.
  14. Did you not read the title and first post? You have port, and airport right there.
  15. If you note the OP is in Ireland. There may be issues there that have no impact on US customers. OP should call NCL when they open on Monday.
  16. Why does that matter? Sure they don’t have the latest bells and whistles but they are well kept, have excellent food and get you where the new big ships can’t. As an aside we sail Sea Dream and those two yachts are older than that. The ports, ambience, food all override anything having to do with age.
  17. You need to look at the luxury lines where they set up elaborate picnics ashore with food brought from the ship. The rules are not the same for every port, though the mass market lines would have you believe that.
  18. If you are going to spend two weeks in Hawaii forget the cruise and island hop. You will have a much nicer experience and really get to see the important things.
  19. Agree with Hank. Stay on the first ship as long as possible, and by the time you are off and to the next ship you should be able to start the check in and boarding process.
  20. I just prepaid my DSC and an Internet upgrade this afternoon. Got my receipt/ confirmation back from NCL and notice a major difference between mine and the OPs. Where the OP has the FAS options you will note it says ADD-ONS, mine says INCLUDED. i would love to see the whole document that OP has posted but my guess is, he never paid for his add ons. Did he book a sail away rate?
  21. You might ask this on the Cunard board. Every line is different. With NCL, as an example, you have no choice on airline, flight times, or connections. Cunard, being more upscale may be different.
  22. Get away from the port and beach area. You might pay a little more for Uber, but save a lot more on your hotel and end up with a much nicer place.
  23. It’s not really something to worry about. If they don’t print, the porters at the pier will have blank luggage tags. Just write your name and cabin number on them and it will be fine. I do that about half the time because I just don’t want to fool with printing them.
  24. IMO you don’t want to stay near the port. Stay in the Brickell area or South Beach unless you are just flying in the evening and getting on the ship the next morning.
