  2. I heard this rumour too and looked at Rhapsody of the Seas - it can hold 2500 approx passengers that would make it the largest would it not? The last two ship retirements have been in the Oct/Nov before the launch of the new ships the following summer - always launching new ships in Palma. They’ve just published the itineraries for winter 2020/21 and all ships are in use - so we’re assuming they’ll go through the winter as is with then the new ship being ready for April/May time 2021. Launch for summer 2021 should be in November this year so we’d expect to find out then.
  3. Interesting Valleta - it ties in with the flying as TUI uses this for flying in the summer. How about Venice? TUI fly into this gateway in the summer. If they pull out of Naples. There is obviously some sharing of knowledge with TUI Cruises and they had a Far East and Dubai programme before Marella did. They have a different model though as they base their ships in German ports for the summer to do North East Europe Fjords Baltic's. I was hoping a North American programme before the ship progresses to the Caribbean for the winter.
  4. Reading on FB- there has been chatter that Marella has confirmed to people that they won’t be doing any ex-UK sailings in summer 2021. I’m not aware of the reasons why. Should this be the case - can we play the guessing game of where the ships will be based that summer? Are we to expect new destinations/base or are we to interpret one of the ships being retired?

  11. https://www.tui.co.uk/river-cruises/cruise-only# yes there is- scroll down on the main page and the excursions section is there and Cruise Only (in white letters it doesn’t show properly against the photo) 🙂
  12. On sale now on website and via TUI shops. Official full launch will be on the 25th April.
  13. I like playing the guessing game. So if Dream & Explorer 2 are ex- Bridgetown, Discover 2 we assume continues in Montego Bay and Discovery in Far East, Explorer will be in Canaries and Celebration doing the ex-Limassol itineraries? Chris Hackney MD of Marella has said that they see Celebration and Dream to be with the company for the next 5 years.
