  1. Greetings from Sunny Arizona, BKMat! I had the opportunity to do this HAL tour (transfer) a few years back. It worked out great. If I recall we had plenty of time to walk through the very scenic shops before the bus went to Fira. There was a guide on the bus that gave a nice overview of Santorini. I had plenty of time for lunch and a walk through the town before heading back to the ship. The line was long for the cable car but seemed to move along. I have to say, if your knees or okay, the walk down was a great experience and I will do it again when I return this next Fall. Also, I have to add— the coastal hike between the two towns looks fantastic and I would love to do it if I can find some fellow cruisers to opt in! Happy Cruising! Karen
  2. The KDM 44 Day South America cruise starting March 15th has been balcony guarantees ONLY in every category for months. I’ve called numerous times to try to get an assigned cabin, holding a VB guarantee. It will be interesting to see how all this spins out prior to sailing with so many guarantees sold...
  3. Great idea! And, would love it if Holland got on board with this.... for example—I arrive in Tampa early am and the first nonstop flight home is not until 6pm. I either hang in the airport or perhaps a HAL city tour?
  4. Lucky to be on the inaugural Harmony two night cruise to nowhere out of San Francisco! It was quite the talk in the travel industry...
  5. Spent 84 days on the Maasdam earlier this year.... bed was extremely hard. Luckily my cabin steward found an egg crate topper and all was well! Guess it’s the luck of the draw.
  6. I get the cabin single supplement albeit I don’t like it! However, the single supplement that’s charged for utilization of the Thermal Suite Pass seems like a total discrimination against a solo traveler. Why would the per couple pass be so much less per person than what a single person pays? Can’t figure out any logic here....
  7. I have the same question/concern. Based on the itinerary received with my deposit confirmation it shows the Symphony arriving into Monte Carlo on October 4th, 7AM as a tender port. I am planning on taking a flight from Nice to Venice that same day where timing may be an issue....
  8. Thank you, Keith! Can’t believe the ship knowledge that you have! Is this just from your numerous cruises or do you have a background in the cruise industry? Know this is off topic... but curious. Love reading your answers to the many CC questions.
  9. My first Crystal in many years...need to ask because I use soy milk daily in my coffee. Is this readily available or do I need to request prior to my voyages? Thank you! PS Try it, you’ll like it!
  10. On the Maasdam, they did not convert 322 to a lanai cabin...and the lanai cabins were $3000 more as I travel single. I loved having the access to the teak chairs just outside my room! My suggestion would be 320 as that door seemed to be hardly used. Happy sailing, Dogma!
  11. I was in 322 on the Maasdam for a very long cruise earlier this year. Loved the cabin and location, especially the easy access to outside. I did not experience any noise from above. Good luck with your decision.
  12. There was a couple onboard the Maasdam this last spring 2019–they utilized their folding bikes in many different ports. Don’t know if legal or not, but they sure seemed to enjoy their rides as they buzzed past me many times as I was hoofing it!
  13. I called Crystal US to ask this same information. I was told they do not have one they are recommending. Doing my own research, I’m thinking the Eden Bleu Hotel would be the best option as it appears the yacht departs from Eden Island.... plus it’s close to the airport. If anyone has been there, done this, I would love recommendations. I will stay two nights pre and one night post.
  14. Anne, I have to thank you, too! Ended up booking back-to-back, January 25th to February 8th. Guessing you are on the February 1st sailing? Looking forward to thanking you in person! Karen
  15. Thank you for your input JB and Eagle. Very helpful. Looks like I will continue my research.
