  1. Royal and Regal don't have the normal promenade deck like most others. It's kind of funky. You can go outside on deck 7 but it's only a small piece of deck. As other said, you have to go up to walk around.
  2. Grab your bags and go. You'll need some sort of transportation because it's not possible to walk from the ship into town.
  3. We did on Royal. You can bring one bottle per person. Put a wine opener in your checked bag. Ask your cabin steward for a couple of glasses. Open the bottle in your cabin and enjoy anywhere on the ship!
  4. In PV, Los Muertos beach is awesome. Its south of town so a cab ride is in order.
  5. I read recently that they were for sale. 100 Million.
  6. I believe the only port where the captain relinquishes control is the Panama canal.
  7. We were on Navigator the first cruise after dry dock. 9 day southern Caribbean cruise. Our cabin was 7530 and the experience was exactly as you described. It was awesome! It was our first Voyager class after Radience and Freedom classes, and older ships. We really liked the "new" ship!
  8. We were on Jewel for a 9 day greek isles cruise in Oct 2018. Beautiful ship, excellent service and perfect weather. What else is there?
  9. We rented golf carts from Bonaire Cruisers ($95 per cart). They gave us snorkel gear and detailed maps. We ended up at 1000 steps beach and had some great snorkeling. Afterwards we toured the island at 25 mph. It was a great way to see Bonaire. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
  10. Get the dining package. 3 rsturarants for the price of 2. You get a credit at Izumi as it's a la carte. We did this March 1 on Navigator. Izumi was quite good. As as Chops. Jamie's was just OK.
  11. We were in Labadee two weeks ago. Before that it was 1986! She has grown up but the laid back vibe is still there. We rented floating mats for the water and did the Alpine Coaster for $25. Passengers are free so we doubled up and rode once. A day pass is only a few bucks more. The zip line looked like fun , but not $100 worth of fun. The lunch was burgers, dogs, ribs and sides. It was fine. The shopping area is a bit crazy with vendors hounding you. Take the free tram and you drive through it. The vendors can't leave their area so no selling on the beaches. Labadee was a place to relax. It completely met its goal!
  12. You're on vacation! Just show up when you want to eat and enjoy! We never had to wait more than a few minutes to get a table on Navigator two weeks ago. Don't stress about It! I saw several grumpy people on the cruise. Grumpy for one reason or another, why? It's a vacation. Enjoy it!
  13. We've been cruising with them for 33 of those 50. Our first was on the Song of America in Feb1986. Our latest was on Navigator of the Seas in March 2019. More to come!
  14. We were on the first sailing after the refurb. We had 2 formal nights, night 2 and night 7. It was way more casual than I've seen. Most men wore shirts and ties, some sportcoats and a few suits. Not as dressy as Jewel in europe.
