  1. Wow, I did not know that TA can opt out. While I am happy with my cabin type, I did plan on bidding once the option becomes available. I made sure I was opted in for Celebrity emails.
  2. Ship-Solistice Length of Cruise--10 days Cruise sail date--Sept 13 Date received e-mail offer--August 24th Captains club tier--Select Booked through Expedia Current Cabin-- Concierge Bid--yes Cabin category--Aqua Bid--$150 a person. Total $300. Notification Date- September 11, 2019 Denied/Accepted - Denied
  3. One of the things I like about Celebrity is their lecture series. On the Arabian Sea & India Holiday cruise last year, there were two guest lecturers. One was an expert on royal families and was an excellent story teller. The second was a professor who spoke about forensics science who was not good at all and made a very interesting topic boring.
  4. Was just coming to post that you should have received a bid confirmation fairly quickly after placing a bid

  6. Incase anyone else is looking, I have picked up the travel size Downey Wrinkle Remover in the past at Target. Typically found them in the same section as all the other travel size items. My target has them near the pharmacy area.
  7. I booked through a TA and made final payment in July. I received an official Celebrity invoice last week. I was wondering if this was the reason that I did not receive any of the communication regarding move-up offers that everyone else scheduled for my cruise received.
  8. Over our years of travel, the only comfort item that we bring is a small wireless speaker. On sea days, my DH likes to relax in the room or on the balcony listening to his type of music (hard rock) and prefers not to have headphones on all day. We do bring a few salty snack but that is more of us being cheap 🙂 (don't want to pay $5 for a can of pringles, when i can get them for $1 at home), sweets are typically covered pretty good by the cruise
  9. Just wanted to chime in and say I love your blogging style. My DH and I have been on 20+ cruises including our wedding and will be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary on the Solstice next month (repo from Van-Hon). Our last 4 have been on Celebrity and have enjoyed them greatly. Learning a lot from your live updates.
  10. You should be fine with the classic package. Take it from someone who typically has 3 fru fru coffee drinks a day, sometimes more when at sea. ☕️
  11. Hello Everyone, Quick Question. My husband and I are planning to brave the crowds near the Burj Khalifa for NYE. There are two spots for families only. since we would prefer to be where no alcohol is allowed, would we be permitted to be in those two designated areas? Thank you
