We dine at the "less formal" (longs not required) main dining room early and have never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes.

When we leave there is sometimes a queue and the use of pagers but that is uncommon and you soon learn when that is likely to occur; based on people wanting to go to or come from the shows.

We buy insurance as soon as we pay out ANY money other than the deposit especially airfare and certainly before we make the final payment.

Also my wife was unexpectedly and suddenly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, possibly Covid induced, after taking out the insurance for two upcoming cruises.   The company said it would be covered WITHOUT additional premium, they had a term for that sort of thing, can't remember what it was..

We did 4 cruises B2B2B2B on the jade in November/December and could only do check in for the first two.   They had all the details and just changed our key cards as we had to change cabins, no need for any real paperwork other than showing our confirmation emails for the later cruises.

By the way it always helps to carry copies of confirmation cruise and shore excursion emails and amenity emails just in case there is any complications when on board.

Find out the senior officers on both using the Roll Calls and the "Where are they now" thread to request.   Depending on who they are I would almost certainly have a major preference!!!   I have travelled on both and have a preference; go with who you know.

Time change notices?   We never saw one on four cruises on the Jade in November/December!!

Not likely to come across the problem again.    I used to get the VIP perk for something I have arranged in the past.   That perk is NO LONGER offered!!

I have just checked the "Officer's Phone List" from the Jewel in 2019 and I can confirm it is Steven Jacobsen so we were both wrong!!!   VBG

I would agree that what @Pat.D states is the most likely event in the States UNLESS the first leg of the B2B is a Transatlantic.

Personally if we were doing that cruise I would want to do the one before it too.

If you are staying on after the cruise stay in town and go to the airport by bus!!    But beware Iceland is VERY Very Expensive,
